Making Finger Gun Ends With 12-Year-Old Arrested on Felony Charges

Here’s a bit of contrast for you. A 12-yer old girl makes a gun shape with her fingers and fires it at her classmates. Before the day is over, she is arrested and charged with a felony. If she were in Nashua, she could have beat the crap out of a student, and nothing much would happen.

Based on our reporting, she could have bullied and then beaten one of the students and had the police and administrators tossing their hands up in the air. Make a gun shape with your fingers and lookout.

“…according to Johnson County District Court documents, on Sept. 18, the girl “unlawfully and feloniously communicated a threat to commit violence, with the intent to place another, in fear, or with the intent to cause the evacuation, lock down or disruption in regular, ongoing activities …” or created just the risk of causing such fear.”

Finger threats equal felony.

A 12-year-old Overland Park girl formed a gun with her fingers, pointed at four of her Westridge Middle School classmates one at a time, and then turned the pretend weapon toward herself. Police hauled her out of school in handcuffs, arrested her and charged the child with a felony for threatening.

Red Flag Laws for finger-pointing! You confiscate the entire kid!

The accused girl’s mother claims her daughter was a victim of bullying. Her grandfather says she was mouthing off. Venting, more or less. But we’re talking about the bureaucracy. The same sort of ‘experts’ that implement policies that force them to ignore actual threats in one district (Nikolas Cruz/Parkland) while charging the kid who makes a finger gun…with a felony in another.

If you locked a school down because a 12-year old pointed a finger and went pew-pew (no reports that sounds were made in this case), you should be replaced. They should fear you.

We’ve got actual assault taking place with authority figures unclear about what to do next while elsewhere we’ve got 12-year-olds arrested for pointing.

At least it wasn’t a pop-tart. Even incidental threatening with a pastry can earn you a free lifetime membership in the NRA. Talk about fear. Imagine how bent out of shape school administrators would be by that?

And whatever you do, don’t wear the NRA T-shirt to school. The whole place would be in lockdown.
