Start Chewing

take cover hes got a pop-tart (1)

The 7 year old (he is now 8) who got a two day suspension for chewing his Pop Tart® into the shape of a gun…

When pressed by a CBS Baltimore reporter, though, (Joshua) Welch said, “When I was done, it turned out to be a gun, yeah.”

was awarded a lifetime membership to the NRA, a $550.00 value.

And that’s great, but what really caught my eye from the same article was this:  Park Elementary told parents it would give counseling to any children who needed it after the Pop-Tart incident.

Really?  Counseling over the “pop tart incident?”

Here’s what the average elementary school kid is going to say about the pop tart incident.  ” Can I get a PopTart?”

In related news, how long before the same school bans Pop Tarts® because they have the words ‘Pop’ (a sound synonymous with gun fire) and Tart, a derogatory term used to describe loose women?  (and because you can chew them into the shape of a gun.)
