Ah yes, from President "Most Transparent EVAH!" Obama’s staff is the claim that in order to be fully open and transparent, they have to go shut themselves off, talk in secret without anyone watching:
And they used to make fun of Cheney being in a secret undisclosed location? This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so serious. Actually, it is rather ludicrous as we all are starting to realize that it doesn’t matter what is SAID – it never matches what is DONE.
Here in NH, in my little hamlet, we take the Right To Know law very seriously – I know what is involved to be open and transparent because THAT’S WHAT WE OWE TO THE TAXPAYERS / VOTERS that put us into office. This prevaricating by this Obama White House Staffer simply make him look like a penguin in the tropics, Obama looking, well, the Chicago pol that he is, but reflects badly on those of us who are elected that actually try hard to be open and transparent when doing the peoples’ work.
After all, regardless of whether it is budgets or policies, it is ALWAYS about the taxpayer’s bucks – and we have to always remember it is not ours to just throw it around.
