Our unelected and unaccountable overlords

Again, from The Economist (certainly a center-left magazine):

Leave aside the details of the allegations against Dominique Strauss Kahn, the head of the IMF (his lawyer indicates he will plead not guilty). Just note that the New York Times states that he was staying in a $3,000 a night suite and was taking a first class flight to Paris. This is the IMF, the body that imposes austerity on indebted countries and is funded by global taxpayers. And this was the likely leading socialist candidate for the French presidency.

Do you REALLY think that a more limited government, whose functions are enumerated, where its citizens keep an eagle eye on those that represent them, can easily pull off this rich lifestyle?  A self-proclaimed socialist – my, how he was sharing the wealth with the masses!

Folks, this is the end game of the Progressive Administrative state – their final goal of having the "brilliant" ruling over us for our own good.  Problem is, they always seem to prove right this maxim: Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Here we see the perfect example of the arrogance of this Progressive elitism has for the rest of us "little, stupid people" – for *I* am above the law.

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
