…that?
Energy is the ability to work. I keep hearing all the time that we have to go clean, go green. Problem is, all of these energy sources have their own problems, least of which that they are so bad at what they do, nobody would be involved with them without massive government subsidies. Take away the subsidies, and those industries (PV, windmills, et al) would shrink – big time. Disappear? No. But only the true believers (and some first adopters) would do so just to feel good about themselves (or be able to say "bet you don’t have one of these!").
The common folk know this already – the mainstream press is just starting to catch on that they can’t shill for Obama on this issue any longer – it smacks their readers in the face every time they have to fill up the family chariot. They understand, intuitively, that making it harder to obtain oil is going to cost them dearly and through no fault of their own. But they know who is the root cause of it!
Already, the Dems are in panic mode (yeah, like we can sue OPEC – WHERE do these chuckleheads get this nonsense??). They are, once again, going to learn that decisions have consequences – artificially restricting the general public to cheap energy (via pandering to the enviro-wackos that believe that the US should de-industrialize and we all should live at "pre-grandparent" levels) is about to nail them to the political wall.
Let’s help them, shall we? Drill, baby, drill….
