Hey, NH residents! Here’s what Gov. John Lynch and the other NH Democrats are doing to your property taxes!

by

Cost Shifting – the act and decisions by the Democrats in Concord to so miserably manage the NH State budget so as to no longer pay to local counties, cities, and towns, what they promised to do.  Like this:

Reductions in State Aid to Cities and Towns in the FY 2010-2011 biennial operating budget:

FY10-11 Biennium

Suspension of Revenue Sharing Payments to Cities and Towns $50.4M
Decrease in State Share of Municipal Normal Contribution $27.7M
Cap of Meals and Rooms Tax payments to Cities and Towns at FY 2009 rate $5.0M
Education Catastrophic Aid (Chapter 1 of 2010 Special Session) $7.9M
Tuition and Transportation Aid (Chapter 1 of 2010 Special Session) $0.6M
Dropout Prevention, Statewide Special Education, and Local Education Improvement (Chapter 1 of 2010 Special Session) $0.2M
Total FY 2010-2011 Biennium $91.8M

Instead of curbing their appetite for spending in the greed, they "protect" themselves by lowering THEIR budget by almost $100 million and throwing the local towns and cities under the bus by simply not doing what they earlier promised to do. OUR property taxes will rise because Democrat politicians can’t keep their promise.  So, did Democrat John Lynch protect the taxpayers?

This is why I just roll my eyes when Demcrats talk about "the mandatory part of the budget"; it’s all

RUBBISH!

They try to treat it like a sacred cow – "oh, we HAVE to spend that on such and such – it’s the law!"  And then weasel out of NOT spending it by cowering behind that, thinking that all is now done – we’re the rubes and they’ve fooled us once again.

Er, if the spending was created by a law, it can be curbed by a law – funny, you know, how politicians of BOTH sides of the aisle just keep forgetting that little fact – if YOU morons passed a law to spend it, you can pass a law to NOT spend it. Simple, eh?

But that takes away their cover, those spineless blobs of nitwitted protoplasm.
