Email Doodlings – On The Party, really supporting conservative candidates and the need to get involved (instead of just being a “bomb thrower”)

"…Then you’ll get the GOP you want.  But not until…"

Another abstraction from an email thread that I am on (somewhat abridged and edited):

I know that you asked, but I hope you would accept my comments as well (and for the record, I have endorsed Jack [Kimball for NH Governor] and Ovide [Lamontagne for US Senator] both).  And yes, this time around, I think the GOP will support them both if they win the primaries (as opposed to what they did to Coburn and Kenney).  I will back what <redacted 1> said – Sununu wants conservatives (as opposed to {Fergus "The Fringe"] Cullen who has only shown utter disdain for Conservatives and our positions).

I have never looked to see if other counties have actual platforms, but I can assuredly tell you that there is no Belknap County "platform".  Different State platforms – sure and why not?  Decentralization allows for each state to discusses the problems it must address politically – and those issues may not exist in other states.  It also allows for more local control than if there was a single platform – an application, of sorts, of Federalism.

You have struck at the nerve of…

what I was trying to get to (but seemingly have failed at) but let me try it this way:  If you don’t vote, stop yer complaining. This should be obvious – don’t vote, I will not take you seriously (obviously, this applies to people who just don’t bother or ‘forget" and not to those that are unable to get to the polls).  I want folks to vote.

>> until the GOP returns to its original platform and values

Ditto with the functioning of the GOP.  It WON’T change until people with the right values FORCE it to change by sheer dint of numbers.  You just showed me, by saying who you liked for candidates, you do have the right stuff.  Recruiting and supporting candidates is just a part of the process – we need more help in the philosophical battles that are on-going to return the GOP to where you think it should beIt won’t happen without more bodies with sharp minds and elbows, and great minds, to beat on the RINOs and Progressives within the Party.  When the TEA Party & 9-12 type people in Utah and Maine got together, they turned the state GOP organizations upside down!

You have correctly identified the problem – would you consider helping to change it from the inside?

And that’s ALL I’m asking – get to that critical mass of Conservatives and Liberty/Constitutionally minded people so as to finally do to the RINOs what they have historically done to us – wear us down and wear us out to the point we give up and opt out.

Then you’ll get the GOP you want.  But not until.
