MACDONALD: The Right to Feel Comfortable

Michael Smith, writing for the Patriot Post, has a great piece titled “The Right to Be Comfortable.” It looks at the reality/fantasy contradiction of the transgender agenda and the idea that there’s such a thing as trans rights. One of those is the right to be comfortable, or to feel comfortable, in whatever fantasy your mind has concocted because, to you, it is real and everyone else needs to play along.

Many a meme reminds us that gender dysphoria is the only mental illness where the cure is for the rest of the world to go along for the ride. And by comfortable, I presume this also means feeling safe, but as Smith notes, it boils down to someone or some faction imposing its will on everyone else. You will believe this is true, and when asked, you will say the correct words.

I just watched a 10-minute video created by a transgender individual who argued that denying a man can become a woman simply because he wishes it is fascism, since fascism teaches people to believe falsehoods.

Truth has nothing to do with it, which is why the transgender agenda fits on the socialist (or the National Socialist) hand better than OJ’s glove.

No one has a right to feel comfortable, and we need only turn our gaze left to see that truth.

Antifa is just a more militant faction of the progressive idea – most often exercised on college campuses – that no one should feel comfortable believing things they disagree with. The presumption of violence they create makes everyone so uncomfortable that events get canceled or moved.

BLM, and I don’t care what they say it stands for, Black Liberal Marxists, like to remind their white allies and everyone else that silence is violence. You must say what they tell you to say, no matter what you believe, and it makes no difference how uncomfortable that makes you feel. If you refuse, emotional discomfort may be the least of your worries.

Michigan Democrat Elisa Slotkin recently aped what is considered standard practice on the political left.

At one point in the conversation, she described her preferred strategy of going after not only President Trump, but the people in his inner circle who ‘enabled’ him.

She then says that she wants young people coming out of college to be too afraid to work with his administration for fear of ‘a ton of problems.’

She wants them to be uncomfortable thinking they could live or work in a world where any ideas that are not hers (or her party’s) are reasonable or acceptable.

I want young people coming out of school to say, should I go work for the Trump administration? Like, that sounds fun, I might get an opportunity.

I want them to be like, Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want, and so let me avoid participating in that.

I want that deterrence message sent.

And without belaboring the point further, there is nothing about Democrat Socialism, which is just creeping Marxism by another name, that encourages you to be comfortable, and I’ll play the COVID response card as but another example.

If you’ve ever talked to anyone who has fled Communism or any of its sinister variants to life free in America, or at least New Hampshire, they will tell you that there is no right to feel or be comfortable under any form of socialism. Life is an ongoing feeling of discomfort, which is what the Democratic Party wants, and not just for college grads thinking about working for Republicans.

The ideological left’s political agenda mandates that the government rob people of property and natural rights. This requires things like armed IRS agents and a militarized Department of Education that helps the DOJ target moms who think it is unhealthy for their kids to be masked all day.

There cannot then be a right to be or feel comfortable, especially given the cozy relationship between radical Marxist Muslims and the party pretending such a right exists, and in this context, it’s instructive.

If making you think you have a right to be comfortable helps them gain political power, then it exists. But once achieved, the only people who will have any sort of comfort at all will be the Statist leadership you put into power. And I’m not sure why I keep needing to say it, but it will include militant Islamists, morality police, and if you think you were born in the wrong body, you should plan on being about as uncomfortable as a person can be.
