A true understanding of the right/left model of politics is critical and rarely taught properly. As I noted in Same Thing Here, If We Allow It, “National Socialism is left-wing, and barely to the right of Communism.”
The key is real tolerance and diversity of thought. “The less freedom a system has, the more left-wing it is. Period.”
Democrats not only insist you think as they do; they increasingly deprive you of rights and property to pay for the government whose purpose is to ensure your compliance. A government that giddily silences your dissent.
Democratic socialism is necessary to achieve socialism, which is necessary to achieve communism. Communism is the goal, and the DSA Dems are so confident that they are openly advertising it while the regular Dems schedule their coming-out party.
They all want the same things, and if Adolf Hitler were a young American activist, he’d be running on the Democratic Party ticket.
The German State under Hitler didn’t own the means of production, but it directed it through fear and force. No one bucked the party. Property, movement, work-everything was “defined” and “managed” by the National Socialists, for the good of the State. policed by an army and an army of snitches (which included their indoctrinated children).
If it sounds a lot like the response to COVID, you’d be right.

Modern Leftists use intimidation and violence the same way their ideological ancestors did. Feeding a culture of fear into the populace to intimidate people who disagree by encouraging violence from those who agree. Antifa. BLM. The DSA.
An Adolf raised in progressive America would have a similar left-wing hatred of Jews to his original self (which he would again use to court Islam or perhaps they, him).
Modern progressives, of course, say they hate white Europeans, espousing reverse racism to divide the nation into factions they can manipulate. They also, like Islam (which hates jews and white Europeans) hate Christianity, which, as I noted here, “can peacefully co-exist with any other faith, [while] Islam cannot. It converts by force or drives them away. Zero tolerance.”
No form of the Democratic Party can coexist with Christianity or Judaism.
The secular theocracies of Socialism share the intolerance of the theocracy that is Islam. Socialism is just Islam without God. Faith and devotion to the state and “dear leader,” with little to no latitude beyond the approved dogma. And each feels certain it can use the other to conquer America.

Democracy is (of course) mob rule, another left-wing affectation. Democratic socialism is the next step on the path to communism, where the mob becomes your ruling-class totalitarian government. There is no freedom of speech, no right to self-defense. You are not guaranteed anything except the likelihood that if you dare to color outside the lines, the state will come for you.
You can see variations of this evolution in places like the UK, where progressive police arrest you for social media posts based on the government’s interpretation of your intent. Again, not dissimilar to COVID-response life under Biden, who almost managed to create a Ministry of Truth led by Nina Jankowicz.
They wanted it. Tried to get it. An Executive branch agency whose job it was to decide what the truth was, aided by a more than willing legacy media, who were already on the job, and a tech industry that had been told what might happen to them if they didn’t censor people on demand.
The DNC and Obama tried it more than once. Remember Attack Watch. An early attempt at creating media permission structures to define narratives to control State messaging.
These examples are all Hitlerian and fascist, National Socialism at its finest, and a twitch away from full-blown communism, which the DSA has already advocated for – seizing the means of production. No Constitution, no Supreme Court, no US Senate. Everything within the state, nothing outside it.

It should go without saying that what the DSA promises has always been the Democratic Party’s goal, and it always will be. They were on the path; they are just walking it more quickly, and they are already the party of death, so Hitler would be proud.
