Welcome to your Friday, September 18th, 2026 morning update.
I’m also welcoming you to the official start of season two of this program.
On September eighteenth, 2025, I decided that I needed to practice talking and looking at a camera, and why not do a five-minute short video clip, kinda like a blog post about whatever.
It seems to have been pretty well received. While I did say I wouldn’t be doing them every morning, and I didn’t. I don’t do them on the weekends in most cases. I have continued to produce the program every weekday for the entire year. If you include GrokTALK! we exceeded 4.3 million views on Rumble, and most of that is this year. And that doesn’t include all the views on YouTube, my Substack, my (handful) followers on Spotify, and whoever’s watching it on Instagram.
Put more simply, They’re just very successful. From mid-August to mid-September, we almost hit 700,000 views for a thirty-day period; that’s not too bad. Moving forward, let’s shoot for a million a month. Everybody needs a goal.
So today it’s episode 265, and the subject is orbital weapons platforms. And how cool is that, especially since it seems like we already have them.
How do we know we have them? Well, we don’t. But we do have this.
Iran recently targeted an American military base in the Middle East and destroyed a bunch of buildings and killed three service members.
All of which was apparently made possible thanks to a Chinese spy satellite. Quote: Within three days, Iran Giddily published remarkably detailed pictures of the damage. This was thoughtful of them since otherwise American officials might have been forced to wonder whether the twenty-plus damaged buildings had always looked that way.
Not long after that, a Chinese spy satellite suffered a malfunction and will now occupy low Earth orbit as a cloud of debris.
Launched March 16, 2026, the spanking-new satellite “reached its operational orbit, a highly retrograde orbit, meaning it travels opposite Earth’s rotation at an altitude of about 590 miles. A few months into its mission, however, the satellite appears to have malfunctioned. On September 4th, the US Space Force cataloged forty-three debris objects from the breakup.“
Not long after that, the US Air Force Secretary, who oversees the Space Force, announced that the United States had what? Orbital weapons.
Quote, today we continue to ensure and remain ready to meet the challenge of evolving threats wherever they exist. This is why the Space Force now has on-orbit space control weapons capable of defending the joint force against hostile adversary action.
The timing of the announcement seems curious.
China allegedly provided Iran with satellite photography, perhaps even telemetry. Iran launches a strike that hits an American base and kills some service members. Iran brags because they have to; they can’t help themselves about how great they are. The images are identified and tracked to a certain brand-new Chinese spy satellite in a retrograde orbit. And then all of a sudden, that satellite is a debris field.
And Space Force happily confirms not just that it’s a debris field, but exactly how many pieces there are.
The US isn’t saying it used its spiffy new orbital weapons to destroy a Chinese spy satellite, and China isn’t saying it either.
The US Space Force is also not saying what it means by orbital defense.
Quote, we’re not going to talk about the specifics of what we’re doing, whether we’ve tested, not tested, or anything else. I would just say that the space environment is critical for military and economic security, and we need to make sure the US can operate freely there.
It isn’t saying, but actions can speak louder than words.
