A group in Maine called Progressive Victory, very likely a DSA front group, tried to warn Maine Democrats about Troy Jackson. Platner was out, and Jackson was the popular fake working-man replacement. But the so-called lumberjack had a history he’d have to pretend didn’t exist. You know, the old, you’re misrepresenting, misunderstanding, that didn’t happen variety.
That, “I have the deepest respect for women, especially when I’m threatening them, hitting them, or throwing things at them.” All alleged, except that Progressive Victory, which is a bunch of Maine Democrats, released this for the record before the Party picked the guy with the Hitler haircut as their man.
“In our discussions we have received troubling information about not only [former president of the Maine Senate, Troy] Jackson’s behavior, but the behavior of behavior of many prominent Maine Democrats toward women more broadly,” it continued, revealing that Jackson allegedly struck a female colleague with a bottle. “Both as a result of the credibility of the sources and in the interest of not seeing our movement make the same mistake twice, we are choosing to share some of this now.

And everyone seems to know about it, but then, all of a sudden, it didn’t happen. That means Democrats are hiding what they all knew for political reasons.

You know the rest, and now the woman-beater they’ve picked to beat Susan Collins is Troy Jackson. Troy Jackson, well-known in Maine political circles, is dodging another accusation, but at least this time he has help.
Just before 2 a.m. on March 12, 1988, Jackson went to a home on Market Street in Fort Kent. When he knocked on the door, one occupant told him to go away, according to the police report. Jackson refused, and that’s when he “kicked the door in,” the victim’s handwritten statement to police said.
A friend of Jackson’s who was there tried to hold him back but could not, the victim’s statement said. Jackson then went after the man, grabbed him by the throat and swung at him, hitting his glasses and cutting the man’s face, the report and victim statement said.
The victim grabbed Jackson and held him by one arm and his throat until one of Jackson’s friends got between the two men, the victim said. Jackson told the man to “stay away from Lana Pelletier or else,” the victim’s statement said.
Lana, his cousin, with whom he’s been in a relationship for forty years (they have kids together), is alleged to have told the officer at the scene she intended to file a complaint over the abuse but never did and now denies it. That’s his help.
Yeah, I don’t know why the officer would write that down or say it or whatever, but I don’t think I’d say or do that to my second cousin. Have sex with him, oh yeah.

Great look for Maine, by the way, but a way better look because he’s a Democrat. And at nineteen, he’s not only allegedly pushing them around, he knows what one is, and that’s not disqualifying.
Decades later, he’s throwing bottles at them and still knows what they are.
Strange how many heterosexual democrat men not only know what women are but “know them” when they are not theirs (necessarily) to know? That got Platner the big blue shepherd’s crook, and now the left is swooning over getting some action with my cousin Jackson.
What are the odds there are other stories in between, demonstrating that Troy “Nearly [40] years ago, when I was 19 years old” Jackson had “this way” with other women? You know, like “many prominent Maine Democrats toward women more broadly.”

Are Republicans searching rural Maine for whistleblowers? If so, they should find some folks who actually saw Troy as a lumberjack, not just dressed as one whose claim to fame is standing with and unionizing actual lumberjacks.
