Welcome to your Friday, August 14th, 2026 morning update. Hopefully our website is back up. The server farm overheated, and they’re having cooling issues, so they can’t restart it until they resolve them. So lucky me. Anyway, that doesn’t stop us from doing the morning update because here we are. And today we’re talking about, well, fraud.
Fraud is a big deal. If there’s a government program, there’s fraud, but as it turns out, if there’s a government program, there’s way more fraud than we ever thought we could have imagined.
And this administration is trying to root it out and prosecute the people responsible. But this time, we’re not talking about Somalis and learing centers or taco stands that are end-of-life care facilities. No, we’re talking about sex rejecting procedures on children.
Yes, a day after the Trump administration ended federal funding for sex rejecting procedures on children, otherwise known as gender affirming care, Vice President J.D. Vance and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. referred hospitals and gender clinics identified in a new HHS billing report for prosecution and investigation.
Vance’s letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche asks the Justice Department to investigate whether flagged providers violated the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic False Claims Act and federal fraud and conspiracy laws by intentionally miscoding treatments to secure insurance coverage for gender-transitioning individuals that insurance would not otherwise cover. If so, they should go to prison.
This is fascinating because they’re coming at a lot of these sideways. Some of them are just pure blown-out fraud. They’re just stealing.
Well, in this particular case, they’re not saying that you shouldn’t have been doing those things, even though they are. They’re saying you deliberately defrauded taxpayers, and we’re going to investigate you.
The Secretary’s letter identifies four fishy cohorts. Claims for puberty blockers with an endocrine disorder diagnosis on the same claim, with no gender diagnosis and no precocious puberty diagnosis. Ages nine to seventeen. Claims for puberty blockers with precocious puberty diagnosis, 13 to 17, claims for primary gender dysphoria, diagnosis with a cross-sex hormone prescription written the same day in a state where that’s prohibited for minors seventeen and younger; and affiliates to whom prescribers billed at least ninety five percent of their claims in a prescription year and are registered at one of their addresses. All of them are Planned Parenthood clinics.
And what else does Planned Parenthood do besides kill babies and engage in alleged fraud with regard to gender transitions? They donate a lot of money to Democrats. So if there is fraud, guess what that’s gonna do? Well, it may very well cut off another source of taxpayer-funded campaign donations to members of the Democrat Party.
