The W in WNBA was supposed to stand for Women, but it actually stood for Woke. And now it will take a man (two of them, actually) to define a woman, and that’s not just biblical; it was entirely avoidable and most certainly the fault of those pandering to progressives on the political left.

Welcome to your Thursday, August 12th, 2026 morning update.
We have for years been told that men who identify as women should be free to have access and the right to use women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, beauty pageants, women of the year awards, taking their scholarships, trophies, and spots on their sports teams. All you had to do was say that you were a chick, a broad, a dame, a bird, even if you were six-foot-two, two-hundred-pound princess Buttercup.
And of course you could dominate the team and the sport, and unless one of the other girls’ teams had boys or men on it, your team was probably gonna dominate your division and your entire league. Or maybe they could get two guys.
Ironically, at some point in the name of inclusivity, you could have a girls’ team with no girls on it.
That brings us to the WNBA, not school sports, but money sports. And they’ve got a problem.
The W didn’t just stand for women; it stands for woke. And now the woke agenda has come to get them. Because the W in Woman, apparently in their rules, it’s not clear as vodka, comrade.
Former NBA players test WNBA policies by declaring for the women’s twenty twenty-seven draft.
My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Kantor-Freedom said on social media. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April of 2027.
Kantor- Freedom has eleven years in the NBA. He’s a pretty decent basketball player. He would immediately be the best basketball player.
In the WNBA, but he’s not alone. Somebody else has joined him. And it’s a problem the league now must address.
Quote: The League decided to have a very public ideological debate over whether biological sex should matter. And so along come Kantor and White in one of culture’s ultimate gotcha moments to essentially say, Let’s see whether you actually believe what you are saying. If the league believes identity is sufficient, then the devastating question becomes, what objective test distinguishes a sincere transgender applicant from someone exploiting an undefined rule?
Basically, what is a woman?
This has been an ongoing debate, especially since the left insists you can’t have that rule. You can’t have that debate. There’s no such thing as exploitation. Men and boys wouldn’t do that. Well, the ball’s in your court, WNBA.
Quote: When an institution makes identity a central organizing principle, it eventually must answer the practical question: what happens when identity collides with the rules of the game?
You wanted woke on your resume, but you didn’t think it through. The WNBA is collectively worth over $5.5 billion, and that’s not somebody else’s money.
If men play, the WNBA will very quickly become a dumping ground for guys who couldn’t cut it in the NBA
All of whom will be exponentially more capable players than even the best women.
No worries, you could just rename it the MWNBA or maybe the MNBA, but we already have one of those, don’t we?
That’s it for today. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
