Welcome to your Monday, July thirteenth, two thousand and twenty-six morning update. You would think Monday, July thirteenth, would be much more intimidating than a Friday. People love Fridays. They don’t really love Mondays. I kind of think of them the same way ’cause I work every day.
But anyway.
You remember Renee Good?
Yeah, that was tragic. But that’s what happens when you run into an ICE officer with your vehicle. Especially given the climate the left has created around ICE officers. So we have a news story. Very similar. And then not similar at all.
Headline Houston Builder fatally shot by ICE mourned after making a life in the US.
Just so you know, this story isn’t about the builder; it’s about the media.
From the AP quote, the builder got up every morning long before dawn, left home to pick up his construction crew, and then headed out to work on yet another house somewhere across the sprawl of Houston. Fourteen hours later, he would return to the wife he’d met as a teenager in Mexico and the modest house he’d built for his family on the city’s east side.
You have to go down seven paragraphs of this lovely story about a man who’s clearly committed to doing something positive with his life, but they don’t mention exactly what the true circumstances of the incident that the headline leads to.
Lorenzo was Mexican. Lorenzo was not a legal citizen. Lorenzo’s crew included people who were illegal immigrants. At least one of those individuals was wanted by ICE.

Propaganda press buries a legal alien’s alleged attempt to run over ICE agent before fatal shooting.
The incident unfolded Tuesday morning when ICE agents attempted to conduct a vehicle stop as part of a targeted enforcement operation to arrest an illegal alien. The driver of the vehicle, an illegal alien from Mexico, attempted to evade arrest, according to DHS. DHS said it received information that he rammed an ICE law enforcement vehicle, refused to follow multiple verbal commands, and weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer, resulting in our officer firing his weapon in self-defense.
This sounds very familiar.
His family, the community, the lying bastards on the left, and the handmaiden media have obviously taken the story about the hardworking man who just wanted to be an American and got shot by an ICE agent. One problem. They’re recounting it second- or third-hand. ICE will eventually release body cam footage.
Until that happens, they have plenty of time to spread a lie, assuming it is a lie, let’s be fair. Until we see the body cam footage, we can’t really know the truth. But we do know this. The media lies, Democrats lie, illegal alien advocacy groups lie, and illegal aliens lie. So we’ll have to wait for the truth. But the media doesn’t care.
