Democrats are not just dirty dogs, they are conniving crooks, the depths of whose malfeasance may never be fully plumbed. The federal welfare fraud has been epic and ignored, if not wholly encouraged. One of Obama’s key initiatives was, after all, to get as many people connected to the federal teat as possible. Biden doubled down, adding tens of millions more illegals to the bill you get to pay. But they had other schemes.
Under Obama, friendly groups were encouraged to sue the government, which would then concede and write the ma big check. Funding outside the regulated grant process. Biden’s exit was too heavy with massive grants from agencies to third parties tasked with doling out the laundered money to like-minded partisan special interests.
Despite the Trump Administration’s efforts, just how much of your money was misspent or appropriated may never be known, but another method of defrauding taxpayers to the Democrat Party’s benefit has been uncovered.
“…what on earth does Benghazi have to do with abortion factory Planned Parenthood? It appears to be the codename for cover-up involving some $90 million in taxpayer-funded Covid-era forgivable loans to a nonprofit organization ineligible to receive the government handout.”
Whoever was running the Administration of that guy, the Democrats called “My President,” used the Federal Small Business Administration to hide illegal loans to Planned Parenthood from Freedom of Information Act requests by putting “Benghazi” in the subject line.
An email from SBA General Council Peggy Hamilton, dated April 30, 2021, appears to be the first with the subject line, “Benghazi (PPP/PPH) Decisions” in the subject line. Note that the reference to the small business loan program and the abortion provider are in parentheses, making requests for communications about the Covid relief program nonresponsive, or not relevant to key records search terms. The agency arguably would not have to turn over the requested information because, understandably, “Benghazi” would not be in the Freedom of Information Act request.
And you thought the Biden Administration was serious when it said it would be the most transparent in history.
They all lie a lot.
The Obama Administration famously used alias email accounts with third-party vendors to hide discussions from the same. Hillary Clinton, more famously, used a private, unsecured server to conduct communications with a network of government officials, including high-ranking members of Obama’s administration.
There can be no doubt that this sort of thing was persistent and continued in all these forms to prevent transparency and accountability.
So, what else, and who else?
Planned Parenthood got 90 million in cash from your grandchildren (plus interest on the debt), and we know they funneled tens of billions to other groups by questionable or suspicious means. Maybe the DOGE guys can write some code to fisk the mountains of records for similar instances of mismatched subject lines and the content in the body of emails and other communications?
DOJ is alleged to be investigating the PP/PPP Benghazi fraud, which is cute, but will any of the former officials be indicted for stealing from Americans? Not likely, though I do like the prospect of using anyone involved as bait to find bigger fish.
PPP loans during COVID were themselves purposefully epidemic acts of fraud to launder money to people who didn’t deserve it. Many were on the recipient end, but the feds and states are just as guilty of awarding large sums to “friends and family” in the donor class. A few cases have managed to see the light of day, but most of that is likely lost, and very few will be properly prosecuted, the stolen assets recovered, and the prison time served.
One thing that may result is some amazing campaign ads about how Democratic states and their members of Congress either helped hide the fraud or continue to hide it, and any campaign or personal benefits that could be inferred as a result.
