PAYNE: Crimes of Educators

Parents, your leaders have paid a high price for failure.  The United States spends over $900 billion annually on K-12 education. Funds controlled by the Education Mafia (the “EM”), the creators and the administrators of the psychological poison that indoctrinates our children with the curricula created by UNESCO and the Department of Education, chosen textbooks, and, by proxy, the teachers’ union. Sam Blumenfeld, co- author of Crimes of The Educators reveals: How Utopians Are Using Government Schools to Destroy America’s Children, reveals in 2011:

“The great tragedy  in America is that the vast majority of Americans who acquire school-induced dyslexia are unable to develop their full potential as productive human beings.”

In his 1973 book, Blumenfeld explains how dyslexia is caused. The sight method forces the right brain to perform left-brain functions, creating new illiterates. The current curriculum introduces kindergarteners to reading by utilizing flash cards. The flash cards have a picture of an image with the word spelled out underneath to induce memorization; teaching English, a language based on phonemes, 44 distinct sounds combined to make words,  as if it is an ideographic language like Chinese. The people in charge of teaching, impart to the child vowel sounds and ABC’s are not needed when memorizing the configuration of the word.  Without the building blocks of sound, the English-speaking child can only see a picture and ignore the key to reading, viewing the text from left to right. Modern methods severely confuse many children who develop lifelong reading impairments.

Sight reading was created in the 1830’s by Rev. Thomas Gallaudet to teach the deaf and mute how to read.  Boston educators, at that time, created a cohort to try this new method of whole-word reading rather than phonics on mainstream schoolchildren. By 1844, Boston schoolmasters urged a return to the phonics system.

In 1929, neuropathologist Dr. T. Orton warned in the Journal of Education Psychology about the harmful and confusing effects of sight reading. Orton describes the cerebral physiology effects on the struggling student, “giving rise to far-reaching damage to their emotional life.” He describes how reading, speaking, and writing is a function from one hemisphere of the brain. Sight reading forces an integration of hemisphere function. Students with dyslexia struggle because one hemisphere is underdeveloped. Orton believes, based on his research, that sight reading contributes to reading disability in more students.

For decades, the EM has ignored the warnings of great patriots like Blumenfeld and a former Senior Staff member of the US Department of Education, Charlotte Iserbyt. The sad results the EM has purchased with your tax dollars have touched the lives of people we know. In 1988, even New York Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger claimed: “Today up to 60 million  Americans — one third of the adult population —cannot read  their local newspaper.” In 1993, the National Center for Educational Statistics’ study of adult literacy reported that “99 million adults were barely literate.”

All learning starts with reading. Our public education has failed, leaving our children with lifelong learning disorders and emotional problems. Do you recognize dyslexia in your child today? Parents should look into joining the promotion of homeschooling that constantly outperforms public schools.
