While we wait for Democrats to explain why they didn’t give a rat’s ass about sex trafficking of minor girls when they had the chance to release all those “Epstein Files,” let’s consider another lifestyle choice they can’t bring themselves to oppose – Muslims and Islam, which emulates its dear leader, who enshrined the notion of child-brides in the mythology.
It is, arguably, one of several awful, terrible things Islam can do to women, and I’m not saying all Muslims are on board. Every faith has its “moderates,” but the moderates have not proven themselves all that effective at stopping the more radical tendencies of their faith. Sharia is, after all, the law, and permission to lie about any or all of it just makes it all that much worse when it comes for us.
At only 12 years old, Goli Kouhkan was forced into an abusive marriage. At 13, she gave birth to her son without any medical care. At 18, after years of suffering physical and sexual abuse, she was arrested for killing her abusive husband during a domestic dispute. Now, after seven years on death row, Kouhkan is scheduled to be executed in December unless she can pay an unattainable amount of “blood money” to her abuser’s family.
Kouhkan’s case is not an isolated one. In Iran, girls are legally married off at age 13 (younger with the approval of a male guardian and judge), girls and women lack legal protection against domestic violence that is severe and widespread, and women have extremely limited ability to divorce and thus escape abusive marriages. As a result, some are driven to kill their abusers as a last resort.
Yet the Islamic Republic’s judiciary refuses to recognize any mitigating circumstances in these cases—even including severe and sustained physical and sexual abuse—and sentences these women to death for murder.
“Girls are married off at age 13 or even younger, and subjected to decades of beatings and rape, with no real possibility of divorce or escape. Many are often killed by family members if they try. Courts must consider these circumstances as mitigating factors when sentencing,” said Bahar Ghandehari, director of advocacy at the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI).
It is not just alien to our culture or way of life; it is child rape, sexual abuse, and domestic abuse, with a healthy side of death as your only escape. If you kill your “husband,” the state kills you, if he doesn’t kill you first.
One of the many aspects of radical Islam mainstreamed in countries like Iran that Democrats, especially the white liberal women, ignore. I know, they are too busy bashing JK Rowling to concern themselves with it.
And while not remotely on the same scale, I feel like I should not that in America, the same women from their childhood to adulthood, over-sexualizing them and transing them, to impress each other. An endless sea of Munchausen by proxy, even after the transition, which robs the child of their health, their womanhood, neuters them, and enslaves them to hormone drugs and very likely antibiotics and other medication from which they may see death as the only escape.
What is it with these totalitarian worldviews and their systemic abuse of girls and women?
