Anti-Gun Hissy Fits

The corruption of the best things gives rise to the worst. —David Hume

Bloomberg-angryLast week, Emperor Michael Bloomberg launched his, Everytown For Gun Safety campaign. For the launch Bloomberg made the talk show circuit explaining that this effort was not about gun confiscation, but keeping guns out of the hands of children, criminals and the mentally ill. Bloomberg’s statement was largely viewed as dishonest and disingenuous. The second amendment advocacy community just wasn’t buying it.

The Lame Stream media focused on the funding of $50 million dollars being spent by Bloomberg on this effort.  Bloomberg, being the blowhard that he is, sporting an ego as big as Montana, touted, “We need to make the NRA fear us,” Boasted the Bloomberg cadre.

But the anti-gun cadre had left a considerably large hole in Facebook. Second Amendment activists took to Facebook creating Everytown for Gun Safety State Pages. Bob Boilard and I created, “Everytown for Gun Safety New Hampshire,” garnering over 700 likes in just over 24 hours of creation.

Then…The page was removed. No explanation, no reason given…just removed by facebook. Despite our best efforts, FB would not respond to requests to explain the removal.  On April 21st, Everytown Communications Director Erica Lamb said, “Everytown for Gun Safety Facebook pages are cybersquatting, and they may be removed.”

There are a couple of take-aways here. First, If you are a liberal-progressive, the rules of engagement in social media favor you and are lopsided against conservative, constitutional and other grass roots causes. Second, Bloomberg and his apparatchik clearly do not know who the NRA is. The NRA is an organization that represents millions of Americans who support and defend the Second Amendment. The NRA works to keep progressives from chipping away at our rights more than has already been done. Third, Everytown thinks it can put politicians in fear of losing their seats for not supporting Gun control.  That only works in small pockets of the country.

These people are losers. And they are on the losing end of the argument. They are not rational, they are not moral, they lie, they steal and they cheat. They seek their own victory by any means and will stop at nothing to achieve it. I get tired of people telling me we need to be civil.  I am done being civil. There is no civility in warfare…only winning.

As long as the second amendment is part of the Constitution…and as long as there is an NRA, this battle will wage on.
