….and voted off the island. More on that later.
First things first – when we get word that we have made a mistake, we correct it as soon as possible. This is one of those posts. On recounting what had been relayed to me, I had this to say about Sheriff Scott Hilliard:
But a chickadee said that one ordinary State Member was allowed in – that would be the President of the NH Sheriffs Association of the NH, Scott Hilliard, in uniform. The tweeting guessed his role was to confirm that Jennifer has done nothing for which she could be arrested. Hmmm, given what has been written, what is in the past is not the problem. I do wonder, however, how he would know? Did he take a complete deposition from her – interview her? Or follow her since the time that the activity that racked up the liens happen? But does that even mean anything, as past is not always prologue, after all.
Well, apparently I either heard wrong or was told wrong – He made sure to tell me and the folks at the MCRC that he was not in uniform. So I will retract that here and in the post itself. He stated (paraphrased) “how can you believe the GraniteGrok when they can’t get details right – I wasn’t in uniform on Monday night?”. Hmmm….
So, I note this: having done this for a while now, sometimes what is not said by a politician is as important (or more) as what a politician does say. I have responded to what he did say, and again, I am retracted the “in uniform”, the second part. However, a blanket deflection / innuendo is not a denial, is it (the first part)? No explicit denial was made for any of the other details in that paragraph concerning him….decide for yourself.
And so, Seth was prescient….
