Quick Thought: A Missed Opportunity – ONLY Delay Tax Day to July 15th?

by

That is, moving Tax Day from April 15th.  What a shame that Trump decided to move to that rather to one much more appropriate. And that would be?

October 31

Yes, the end of October. Instead of April 15 to July 15.  Bad move from a conservative/political standpoint.  Sure, getting those taxes into the coffers is important but how about what Conservatives have said for years – harness the angst and anger of “Are we really getting full value for our hard-earned money? WHY are we spending SO much on things that the Federal Government shouldn’t even be close to spending money on?”. And in my case, “WHEN is someone in DC going to regain some financial sanity and start doing REAL budgets again???”.

No, don’t move it to the day before the General Election. Move it to October 30.  Why?

Give people that have to pay taxes a chance to really be reminded who is taking their money – and for what it SHOULD be. Let that fury start to boil as they go into the ballot box.
