Court rules reporter must testify in NH voter suppression case

The Court has ruled that Nick Reid, a former reporter for the Concord Monitor, can be forced to testify in the voter suppression case of Carl Robert Gibson. Gibson is accused of trying to suppress voter turnout by sending an email saying Republican Yvonne Dean-Bailey was dropping out of a May 2015 special election. Gibson … Read more

Obama: What, you don’t BELIEVE ME?

Obama winkingThis here’s right funny – they’ve nailed his character to the bone.  Was it that “If you like you doctor, you can keep your doctor” and that Obamacare would let everyone keep $2500 more of their own money? How can they be SO cynical of the former LightBringer? Emphasis mine, reformatted.

After Obama nixes agreement, groups say they want city ordinance

The Obama Presidential Center planned for Jackson Park could be a shot in the arm for the South Side, bringing jobs, economic development and other benefits. But a coalition of activists and residents want those promises put in writing — something the former president himself refused to do just this week.

Where’s the trust, guys?  After all, he was (and is again) an “activist” and an “organizer” just like you all – or is there no honor among thieves (so to speak)? You mean that phrase “Trust in God” isn’t quite sufficient (yeah, go to the link)?

Notable Quote – Melania Trump

Melania Trump
Image: CNN / Getty Images

In her address to the UN General Assembly:

“Show me the loving bonds between your families today and I will show you the patriotism and moral clarity of your nation tomorrow. Our choices on how we raise and educate our children in fact provide the blueprint for the next generation. If we do not advocate a love of country to our children and generations to come, then why would our children grow up to fight for their countries?”

-Melania Trump, First Lady of the US

It is here that she very much differentiates herself from the preceding First Lady. For Melania, it is the family that is the most important structure in Civil Society and not Government trying to be that penultimate force. Is this why Progressives continuously try to replace the nuclear family?

No kidding, Sherlock: HHS head: GOP health bill could result in $820M N.H. Medicaid cut

“But in the end, Meyers added, the New Hampshire DHHS – like the rest of the country this week – lies at the whim of Congressional forces.”

They never seem to learn the rather straight forward lesson of “with strings attached”, do they?  And the other one is “he who has the gold doesn’t have to hand it out, either”.  This is what happens when politicians, in never learning that it doesn’t matter to taxpayers WHICH level of government is reaching into their pockets, never seem to learn that in creating a local budget (in this case, the State of NH) that highly depends on a higher level of government’s money, you will get screwed in the end.  And politicians, especially the NH Republican ones, have put NH into this position – willingly.  In Pravda on the Merrimack comes this evergreen headline:

HHS head: GOP health bill could result in $820M N.H. Medicaid cut

New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Jeffrey Meyers predicted a sharp financial toll on the state’s Medicaid program if the federal Graham-Cassidy health care bill passes, and warned of funding shortages that could result from the bill’s block grant system.

Who could have seen this coming, eh?  Oh yeah, ME!  I didn’t have to be a

“Defending Free Speech” Has to Mean More than Just Opposing Efforts to Silence It

freedom_of_speechAntifa and their advocates have insisted that some speech is so offensive that violence is justified. This is nonsense because violence is never justified where peaceful speech is concerned, they are only looking for an excuse to silence ideas they oppose and have decided to frame everyone that disagrees with them as either Nazi’s or white supremacists.

Not every liberal is onboard with silencing speech they dislike. Peter Beinart at the Atlantic sounds as equally offended as I am.

Irony Alert! DNC Spends More Than it Takes In

dollarThe Democrat National Committee continues to reap a “windfall” from their ongoing Blame Russia™ and “People who don’t vote Democrat are White Supremacists” narratives as donors flock to write checks in support of …wait! It’s just the opposite.

The DNC raised just $4.4 million last month, the second lowest August fundraising figure for the party in the past decade. The party had less cash on hand at the end of the month than it did at the beginning, as its spending outpaced its fundraising by $44,575.

Democrats spending more than they take in?  You don’t say?

The Stupid on the Left

TariqShapiroWhiteSupremacist

Check out this guy calling Ben Shapiro, a Jew who wears a yarmulke all the time, a suspected white supremacist? (And look at the number of likes!!). So Tariq thinks,  Ben who “According to studies from the Anti-Defamation League, Shapiro received the most anti-Semitic harassment on Twitter during last year’s campaign season.” from white supremacists, is a suspected white supremacist. Good lord.

Why are so many people who claim to be on the left so freaking stupid? I mean, seriously. They play dress up in black, replicating fascist fashion, beating people up, destroying property and then, with a straight face, in serious self-righteous rage claim they are anti-fascist?

Why Isn’t Anyone Reporting BLM’s Hank Newsome Being Handed the Microphone at a Pro-Trump Rally in DC?

NH media blackoutA few days ago there was a rally in Washington DC. The Mother of All Rallies, billed as a pro-Trump event, attracted a lot of folks including a group from Black Lives Matter, which the organizer invited on stage as a show of good faith in Free Speech.

“So you guys know that the ‘Mother of All Rallies’ was to end the political violence,” Gunn began.

“It’s about freedom of speech. It’s about celebration. So what we’re going to do is something you’re not used to, and we’re going to give you two minutes of our platform to put your message out,” Gunn told the BLM activists.

You may not have heard this because no media in New Hampshire (that I can find) is reporting it.

The results of an EMP blast without the EMP – Puerto Rico: “We’re looking at four to six months without electricity.”

Puerto Rico flagPuerto Rico just got nailed bad by hurricane Maria – and it pretty much tore up the place.

Yennifer Álvarez Jaimes, Gov. Ricardo Rosselló’s press secretary, told NBC News that all power across the island was knocked out.

“Once we’re able to go outside, we’re going to find our island destroyed,” Emergency Management Director Abner Gómez Cortés said at a news briefing. Rosselló imposed a 6 p.m.-to-6 a.m. curfew, citing flood warnings and the importance of keeping streets clear for repair and rescue teams. San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz told MSNBC that the devastation in the capital was unlike any she had ever seen.

The San Juan that we knew yesterday is no longer there,” Yulín said, adding: “We’re looking at four to six months without electricity” in Puerto Rico, home to nearly 3.5 million people. Maria, the strongest storm to hit Puerto Rico since 1928, had maximum sustained winds of 155 mph when it made landfall as a Category 4 storm near the town of Yabucoa just after 6 a.m. ET, the National Hurricane Center said.

Stateside, we have folks that get all bent out of shape if the power’s down and inconvenienced for a day or so.  Sure, an

Grok Review – ZyXEL HD Powerline Adapter

zyxel_600_mbps_powerline_1056772When the WiFi didn’t reach the corners of the house with enough oomph to handle a couple of online gamers I went looking for solutions. Several presented themselves. Run cable. Add a router or router booster. I could even suck up the pain and pay for more bandwidth. But the solution I settled on was a powerline adapter.

These devices plug into a standard outlet and use your house wiring to carry your internet signal.

Is Saying “N-Word” a Micro-Aggression?

UNH CampusA University of NH sorority is being investigated for using the N-word in a video posted online because if Kanye West can say it, you can’t sing it.

DURHAM — A University of New Hampshire sorority is under investigation after a video was posted on Facebook Tuesday showing Alpha Phi members singing the rap song “Gold Digger,” which includes the N-word.

UNH spokesman Erika Mantz said Wednesday that no disciplinary action against the sorority sisters has been taken, but the incident is under review.
