“Where the roots of private virtue are diseased, the fruit of public probity cannot but be corrupt.” —Felix Adler
Tamerlan Tsarnaev. We all know the name. He was a Terrorist on American soil. He killed three people and injured 264 others. He then got into a gunfight with Police and blew himself up with a bomb. His brother ran him over with a car as he was fleeing. The only bullets being shot at Tamerlan Tsarnaev were Police Bullets.
Yet, when we go to Nanny Bloomberg’s “No More Names” website, a banner at the top declares, “6,166 Americans have been murdered with guns since Newtown.” So, why is Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s name read aloud at the No More Names Rally? And while they are at it, How many of those names are gangsters shooting it out with each other on the streets of Chicago or Los Angeles?
The names read aloud should be suspect. Not all of them are innocent people murdered in senseless acts of violence. I am now curious to know, How many were killed by Police? How many were killed by people defending themselves against violent criminal acts? I think I might research this….
How do the families feel about being used a “victim multipliers” lumped in with the likes of Tamerlan Tsarnaev?
In sum total, just the mere mention of Tamerlan Tsarnaev corrupts the whole victim list and invalidates the stated “national drive to reduce gun violence.” This is also corrupt because we already know an overwhelming amount of criminal violence in the country is done without guns. So we reduce gun violence, but not knife violence? or ball bat violence?
This utter joke we witnessed in Concord yesterday was little more than a bunch of anti-gun liberals manipulating the sheeple into the perception that gun violence in America is far more pervasive than it really is. All criminal violence is bad. Criminals should be separated from society, but here we bear witness to the very corrupt message of Michael Bloomberg and his, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” campaign. That in and of itself, is a lie. But, one cannot tell a truth that most Americans will not buy: “Mayors against ALL guns.”
They want to take our guns away. To say they respect the second amendment is a bald-faced like. They do not. At the No More Names Rally yesterday, there were many individuals carrying AR-15 semi-automatic rifles. There were many others openly carrying holstered handguns. And there were others carrying a various assortment of rifles slung to their backs. To do so was perfectly legal in the Granite State. Nobody got a rifle pointed at them. And none of the armed people interfered with anybody else. If you ask any of the Nanny Bloomberg supporters what stick out most in their minds, chances are its not the bull-horned chants of, “Go Home” and, “shame on you” It is these rifles. That should tell you everything you need to know about this crowd.
I was asked yesterday if I thought the people opposed to Bloomberg should quiet down. I pointed out that some of the second Amendment rallies of the past had loud strident confrontational clowns and we simply ignored them. Bloomberg has come to our backyard in the Granite State and we will not quietly acquiesce. Finally, there have been 25 murders this month alone in the, “Big Apple,” in spite of their Draconian Sullivan laws.
No matter where one stands on the second amendment, it ought to disturb people that a terrorist shares space on that list.
