The last post from the NH Nullify Now! event. Filed under Humor, because that’s what this foray out of the building was about. I met up with Ed Comeau who had brought this humongous camera rig with him (think TV grade, replete with wireless mic – I had camera envy) a bit early, and when I heard that there were protesters outside, I told TMEW "see ya in a while, dear!", grabbed Ed, and decided to see what would transpire by playing a bit of rope-a-dope.
Note: this was not a serious attempt to debate or persuade; it was a semi-serious attempt (in a foolish sort of way) to see if we could lead some of them into a gaffe (you know, actually letting their guard down and telling the truth). Well, it happened – I "made" a few miscues, let them think "ha, a rookie here!", and it just happened. Well, with only 5 protesters, what did you think??
And not just "die!", but "die soon!" and with such a force of enviro-wackism self-righteousness, he had all but "blood spurting from his eyeballs". And then he realized what he had just done – priceless! (starts about 5:30 in)
