So Republicans in DC are on the take and being funded by George Soros?

George Soros Gaziilionaire financier of all things left wingIf you don’t know, George Soros is the multibillionaire that, when a child, helped the Nazi in their Holocaust death camps.  He is known for making money by currency manipulation of sovereign countries.  He is an open faucet of money, via a whole gaggle of Progressive “charities” and when followed, it almost looks like money laundering.  He’s one of the Left’s biggest donors over the decades.  Also, he is no friend of Freedom and actively is working for a single world government and open borders.

In this piece from DC Whispers, he’s at it again.  The Democrats talk about Trump in collusion with the Russians?  Republicans ought to be yelling about Soros more often as he’s really trying to crush our sovereignty.  Here’s one of those times where I do quote quite a bit of that post (reformatted, emphasis mine):

AMERICAN COUP: Big Money Donors Trying To Overthrow Trump Revealed. Here’s The List…

Notable Quote – Peggy Noonan

The establishments and elites that create our political and entertainment culture have no idea how fragile it all is—how fragile it seems to people living normal, less privileged lives. That is because nothing is fragile for them. They’re barricaded behind the things the influential have, from good neighborhoods to security alarms, doormen and gates. They’re … Read more

Why can’t Progressives / SJWs be truthful? “…who is in charge of your kids?”

We don’t need you. We have your children – Herrman Goebbels

That second question in the title is from a post I did back in 2009 – and the question has only become more and more important over the last eight years so I suggest that you read it because here is another example of what Progressives in education believe about “truth”:

Two Canadian professors have developed an approach they call “Trojan horse pedagogy” to peddle social justice to otherwise unassuming students. Sal Renshaw and Renee Valiquette, both of whom teach at Nipissing University in Ontario, detailed their extensive “ruse” in a recently published book, boasting that their “Introduction to Interdisciplinary Analysis” class is actually a “social justice” course in disguise… “Our goal in this class is to move both hearts and minds, in part by ‘forcing’ an encounter with at least some knowledges that students have already decided they are not interested in,” Renshaw and Valiquette explain, adding that the classes are “rooted in… post-structural feminist theory.”

Where ‘Indigenous Peoples’ Day Leads and Other Progressive Plots

columbus-820x539I’d like to wish the folks out in the Durham area a Happy ‘Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Durham, New Hampshire, is the first municipality in the Granite State to adopt the second Monday in October as ‘Indigenous Peoples’ Day.’

(c/o WMUR)“After much consideration and reflection regarding the discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus, the town council has come to support this resolution to designate the second Monday in October as ‘Indigenous Peoples’ Day,’” said Durham Town Administrator Todd Selig. “Not only is it appropriate to our local history, but also to recognize and value indigenous people everywhere. The designation will encourage residents to learn more about the legacy of Christopher Columbus and the ‘Doctrine of Discovery,’ while also recognizing the devastating effects of colonialism on indigenous peoples.”

Durham’s made it an amalgam day, with the European oppressor and the indigenous oppressed sharing billing, but how long do we honestly think that “relationship” is going to last because this feels a lot like progressive incrementalism to me.

Yeah, and Zandra Rice-Hawkins was a sterling example of why we don’t “join their conversation” on guns

President Obama said he wanted to do what he could to save even one child during the gun control debate. He has a change of heart when it comes to abortion.
President Obama said he wanted to do what he could to save even one child during the gun control debate. He has a change of heart when it comes to abortion.

I’m going to watch it again, but it was class Rice-Crispies operandi – dripping with condescension and her favorite tactic of hijacking the conversation while someone else is talking (in this case, Susan Olsen representing the Women’s Defense League).  I have to give Susan kudos for the attempt, but it was clear that Zandra Rice-Hawkins was as haughty as ever (as she treats me every time we meet up).  We’ve blogged about this outlook of Progressives before – that we believe they are misguided, but they believe we are EVIL.  That came out quite clear yesterday (and she is a pro-abortion extremist as well, so the image above fits).

Thus this post from The Federalist caught my eye and well sums up why there is no common ground.

The Heart Of Gun Confiscation Is Money and Evil

guns, pistols, rifle, revolvers, and ammunitionWhen a gun control advocate starts with their standard heart-wrenching plea for gun owners to cooperate in helping them make everyone safe, all I hear is gun confiscation. This gun control mantra isn’t about personal safety – it is about disarmament. Any plea by gun grabbers that this isn’t the case is flat out nonsense.

Most vocal gun grabbers have no idea what they are talking about regarding weapons; it’s just a fad opinion they picked up like a teenager going vegan to save the planet. The planning for, funding of, and talking points about gun confiscation comes from select left wing sources – professional anti-Second Amendment planners. Most citizen anti-gun activists pick up their agenda like they stepped in chewing gum. If it weren’t guns, it would be offensive statues, or foul language, or history that doesn’t meet their standard. It never stops.

So, did the Founding Fathers imagine automatic weapons?

EPA Chief Scott Pruitt Pulls the Plug on the Clean Power Plan

Back in March, President Trump signed an Executive Order asking the EPA to review the (the awful terrible) Clean Power Plan. EPA has, and now they are taking a hatchet to it. “I’m here to make an announcement that’s very, very important for you. Tomorrow, in Washington, D.C., I’ll be signing a proposed rule to … Read more

Pine Tree Ramblings (Vol 3) – Rebellious Acts

Pine Tree

Lots of talk about rebellion and “resistance” these days.

The NFL thugs on their knees, the Antifa children-of-the-corn and the countless Sherry Frost nutcakes who see “oppression” in every blade of grass.  It is nothing more than Pecksniffian silliness.  I have no doubt this will all end with a whimper, leaving no lasting mark on our country or society.

But we do have examples in our national past of truly courageous defiance, where the players and their families faced very real consequences for their risky acts that helped forge the creation of the United States.  The anniversary of one of these events is coming up this month, so let’s take a look.

Warner Todd Huston: Home and Car Vandalized Because I’m a Conservative Writer

Warner Todd HustonOccasional podcast guest and friend of the Grok Warner Todd Huston has found himself a target of the “tolerant left™.” After many years as a conservative writer without issue, someone or a pack of someones has taken to vandalizing his home and property.

Over the course of this year, someone in my neighborhood has targeted me. At first, I thought it was just random vandals as the attacks were penny-ante nonsense, but now I am pretty sure it is being done by someone who knows I am a conservative writer who has a body of work stretching back to 2001 and they are trying to intimidate me.

It started early this year when a flag was pulled off my flag-staff and left ripped and in pieces on my lawn.

Two ruined flags, and an egged garage door later, the idea that it might just be hooligans was still a functional explanation. And then something else happened.
