MACDONALD: White Egg Supremacists

Breaking news. A UK Supermarket chain is racist. Yes. Sainsbury’s, a dominant retail outfit in the UK that runs just under 1,500 locations (plus a few hundred others under different names), is banning brown eggs. All I can think to say is White Egg Supremacy.

What’s next, swastikas and goose-stepping? Maybe. Their stated rationale for the change is, well, sort of stupid, but whatever.

Sainsbury’s is ditching brown eggs and switching to white as it races to hit net zero.

The UK’s second-largest supermarket plans to sell only white-shell eggs in its own-brand cartons after studies found they have a lower carbon footprint than brown alternatives.

Sainsbury’s said the shift towards “lower carbon” eggs would help it hit ambitious targets to reach net zero within its own operations by 2035 and across all of its suppliers by 2050.

White eggs have a 12.7pc smaller carbon footprint than brown alternatives, Sainsbury’s said, because the hens that lay them tend to be smaller and consume less energy-intensive feed. The supermarket said this helps to “indirectly reduce demand on land and water used to grow feed crops, as well as the amount of manure produced”.

Without getting bogged down into Net Zero being an impossible lie (again), the fact that they even have an operational goal of this sort hints at mental health issues. Or they’re just the most likely supermarket oligarch under climate communism, and this whole scheme will wipe out their competition long before the jackbooted climate thugs come for them.

A few contributions here and there, a lot of offshoring, and ta-da, we can say we did it.

The egg situation isn’t a sideshow, either. It is a demonstration of systemic stupidity by posers in boardrooms who hope no one will look behind their Potemkin net-zero village. Not two shakes of a lamb’s tail after they made the announcement, an actual poultry guy who raises chickens for eggs stood up and yelled, chickenshit! (He actually said, ‘debunk this rot’).

I’ll give you the highlights.

Hens that lay white eggs

[E]at a bit less and produce roughly the same amount of eggs as the Brown egg layers, [but] live shorter lives, because they are too high strung [and] are prone to dying suddenly [me: kind of like white liberal women who drive into federal agents].

He says you might get 12-18 months of productive egg production from one of these white-egg layers before you have to replace it with another.

He says his brown egg layers live five years or more and they are laying eggs the whole time. Problem? Yes. As with nearly every so-called green-energy, climate cult “solution,” the stated “improvement” creates more emissions and does more harm, if you believe any of this climate voodoo, usually somewhere else.

We can’t see it so it must not exist, which, if they applied to racism, would end the race-baiting propaganda overnight.

To sustain the white egg-laying capacity of birds that lay themselves to death in just two years, you need to incubate more new ones, which uses a lot more energy than the difference between brown and white egg-layers, even if the brown were as fragile as the white. And that’s before we do the math on replacing all the brown-egg sales with white-egg sales, and all the extra chickens you’d need on hand and then replace.

In other words, whether you believe any of the net zero BS or are just pretending to impress God knows who, Sainsbury’s notion is the perfect Climate Cult plan. It will use a lot more energy for a lower-quality product, but they get to pretend otherwise.

Net Zero common sense!

It’ll be a whole lot easier if we just accuse them of hating brown eggs and frame them as racists and White Egg Supremacists (even if it’s just for fun). Who knows, it might even trigger them just a little bit.

Here’s the X post.
