MacDonald: Democrats and Palestinians

The Left is broken, which is sort of ironic. Democrat Socialism, which is the foundation of Marxism by its founders’ own admission, breaks everything to get from wherever you are to the Communist utopia. This is known, but many on the left don’t know it. They hear promises and imagine injustices righted, but the virtue signaling required to demonstrate fealty comes at a cost.

The victims are almost always the people they claimed they’d save. This creates a circular firing squad where the help creates real injustice that demands more of the same sort of help. This culture perpetuates in the increasingly smaller next generation, which advocates argue is good for the planet when, in fact, it is an extinction loop.

Who better to advocate for that than the transgender child of some progressive Hollywood stiff?

‘Sex and the City’ Star Cynthia Nixon’s Trans Child Is ‘On a Hunger Strike’ in Support of Gaza

Wait. Breitbart nailed it twice.

HBO’s Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon says her transgender child — whose grandparents were Holocaust survivors — is “on hunger strike” in support of Gaza.

And?

Nixon’s 28-year-old daughter — who identifies as male and goes by the name Seph Mozes — is “on hunger strike right now” in support of Gaza in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, the actress told Newsweek.

“He and five other of his compatriots are doing a hunger strike in Chicago [since] Monday, for Gaza,” Nixon — who is best known for her role as Miranda Hobbes on the long-running series, Sex and the City — said.

Nixon went on to describe her daughter — a University of Chicago graduate — as “a quite observant Jew” who is “very steeped in Jewish Voices for Peace,” a group that describes itself as a Jewish anti-Zionist organization.

Talk about a rickety rope bridge hanging over an unforgiving chasm.

Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP) is a massive, international progressive organization that the Jerusalem Post reports claims ‘lacks support from a majority of American Jews’ because of its tactics. The J post alleged that JVP had a hand in the pro-Palestine campus hijinks in 2024 as well as deep ties to many anti-zionist groups.

I can’t see the J-Post liking the anti-zionism in any form. Were it to get its way, there’d be no Jews in Jerusalem. The Anti-zionists see Israel as an illegitimate occupation it therefore follows that they’d side with everyone else.

Be that as it may, I’m still having a hard time getting past the amusement of it all. A woman who thinks they are a man is starving themself for a little while, to bring attention to people who would beat them and more than likely kill them given the opportunity.

Truly thougful and compassionate or clueless bat shit crazy?

The people calling themselves Palestinians have not demonstrated good judgment in choosing leadership or, if you prefer, keeping terrorists from running things. The Arab nations that surround them want nothing at all to do with them. Terrorists use them as human shields, and this is someone else’s fault.

Okay, I guess I see the appeal now. Palestinians are like the Democratic rank and file. Human collateral used by leadership to advance a political agenda. Victims of “party rhetoric” and the idea that they will protect them from imagined abuses by historical enemies.

The victim narrative is the appeal, but here’s the thing. It’s just a slow-motion form of suicide. While the Islamists in Palestine would throw Nixon’s daughter off a roof, Democrat leadership thinks nothing of tossing its victim classes under the bus.

The solution is to break free from the culture of victimhood and dependency and to reject the underlying ideology, but will either ever truly do that?
