Back in 2022 the Hunga Tonga underwater eruption – whose plume of water vapor was visible from space – set the earth on a course or temporary warming that the Handmaidem media and greenwashers have done their best to ignore or dismiss. The problem with looking the other way is that water vapor is ta much better greenhouse gas on planet earth, not CO2.
There is a measurable maximum effect for carbon dioxide, at which point you can add more and get no change. Water vapor, however, is another story. Hunga Tonga blasted significant amounts of water vapor into the atmosphere, which affected the climate.
In January 2022, a massive underwater volcano called Hunga Tonga suddenly erupted and shot so much water into the upper atmosphere that levels in the stratosphere rose suddenly by at least 10%. It was a genuine one in 100, even 200 year event and was reasonably expected to produce temporary weather changes around the globe. Sure enough, subsequent temperatures showed a 0.3-0.4°C upward spike. Needless to say, the Net Zero fanatics claimed the rise as their own and blamed it on humans controlling the climate by increasing the trace gas carbon dioxide. Today the Daily Sceptic can give wider publicity to sensational recent findings that suggest Hunga Tonga was the main culprit in producing the recent spike. The scientists directly link a dramatic cooling in the upper atmosphere of between 0.5-2°C to Hunga Tonga. It is generally held that there is an anti-correlation between the lower and upper atmosphere and cooling at the top produces warming at the bottom due to a number of complex atmospheric processes.
Things have started cooling as average global temperatures return to their regularly scheduled programming, but not before once again exceeding the mythical, fanciful toes on the ledge 1.5 C increase in temperature.
As with previous forays beyond the made-up benchmark, nothing at all happened.
Mike Hulme, a professor of human geography at the University of Cambridge, asserts that it isn’t. “There’s no ‘cliff edge’ that emerges from any of the scientific analyses that have been done about these thresholds,” he said. “They are, in many senses, just arbitrary numbers plucked because they are either integers or half of an integer.”
…
Of course, the thing that’s going to happen is, “Well, if 1.5 is now in the back mirror, what’s in the front mirror now?” There’s going to be a lot of work done to reconstruct a narrative for those people who think that 1.5 was the be-all and the end-all. There’s now going to have to be very significant work in reeducating and reframing what the future actually holds, if 1.5 is no longer the benchmark.
The answer is the same as it was when we surpassed 1 degree C and the world kept on going.
Did you know the ‘Earth’ has warmed 4° C since 1750 and nothing? But back in 2005, climate mullahs warned us that as much as a degree (1° C) rise in global temperatures would be a tipping point.
And in a manner of speaking, it was. We passed that tipping point, so they moved the world’s end to 1.5° C. The media skipped that big story or how, by the IPCC’s demented fearmongering estimates, we’re almost at the next world-ending benchmark (1.5° C). Can you feel it? The climate tipping point.
They’ll move the goalposts. There’s just too much money (less after DOGE gets done, I suspect) to give up on any of the bad science and suppression of alternative theories.
The academic wing of the cult will formulate some excuse, recalibrate their “models,” and then change the wording to their End is Near sandwich boards, proving they are, once again, the actual climate deniers.
