A ‘few years back,’ some ‘experts’ got busted for talking about how to hide declining temperatures. They were protecting the fake climate consensus by manipulating data and keeping challenging research out of the science journals. The earth wasn’t cooperating, and their funding was at risk.
We spend exponentially more on the climate lie than we did back then, so the event has become something of an obscure answer on some climate-denier version of Trivial Pursuit. IN what Year did Phil Jones and East Anglia get busted for lying about climate change?
Ghosts of frauds future (predictions that never come true), past (hiding the decline), and present.
[diligent citizen journalist Ray] Sanders discovered from a freedom of information request that 103 of the 302 sites marked on the climate averages listing – over a third of the total – no longer existed. Subsequently, Sanders sought further information about the methodology used to supply data for both Folkestone and Dover. In reply, the Met Office said it was unable to supply details of the observing sites requested “as this is not recorded information”. It did however disclose that for non-existent stations “we use regression analysis to create a model of the relationship between each station and others in the network”. This generates an estimate for each month when the station is not operating. Each “estimate” is said to be based on data from six other stations, chosen because they are “well correlated” with the target station.
The government’s experts were tracking and collating data that didn’t exist. They invented it using computer modeling to estimate what the temperatures would most certainly be if there were a measuring station at these locations.
Given how poorly the computer models have managed everything else, this seems like a bad idea (scientifically) unless your budget or agenda relies on maintaining certain narratives, which it does.
The recent changes made by the Met Office to its climate average pages shows that the state-funded operation is fully aware of the growing interest in its entire temperature recording business. This interest has grown because the Met Office is fully committed to using its data to promote the Net Zero political fantasy. But it is silent on the biggest concern that has been raised of late, namely the promotion of temperatures, accurate to one hundredth of a degree centigrade, obtained from a nationwide network where nearly eight out of 10 stations are so poorly sited they have internationally-recognised ‘uncertainties’ as high as 5°C.
You might say, well, “it’s not a weapons-of-mass-destruction” level of deception. Certainly not as egregious as all those COVID lies. But it is about controlling energy and people, and there is no body count published daily from the side-effects of net-zero policy and the lies of the climate cult agenda.
Much like that temperature station, they don’t officially exist.
