Teen Girl ‘Transitioned’ From Healthy to Paralyzed after Transgirl Brained her with a Volleyball

We may have missed an opportunity here. Transition. Great word. To change from one form, state, style, or place to another. Public education transitioned from teaching kids reading and math to making them mentally dysphoric political activists. Democrats transitioned the American economy from a private-sector job-creating energy-independent machine into the geo-economic equivalent of Dementia Joe (The King is the Land. The Land is the King!). Payton McNabb was a healthy 17-year-old young woman with an eye on a sports scholarship until a male opponent (identifying as a girl) spiked a ball into her head.

The 5ft 11in trans player cackled in delight, Ms. McNabb said, after sending her to the floor. As did other players in the opposite team.

Ms. McNabb was left with brain damage and paralysis on her right side, which ended her dreams of getting a volleyball college scholarship and has made it difficult to walk without falling.

Payton could be a Democrat president, but #woke culture has transitioned her out of a lifetime of sports and, depending on the extent of damage, an everyday life with a modicum of comfort and quality. That was two years ago.

Doctors diagnosed her with a traumatic brain injury, concussion, partial paralysis on her right side, whiplash and vision problems — which she is still dealing with today, almost two years later.

Now a communications student at Western Carolina University, Ms McNabb says she continues to struggle to move the right side of her body — leading her to regularly lose her balance and suffer from falls.

More recently, Angela Carini, an Italian women’s boxer, bailed on her bout after 46 seconds. What was Carini’s reasoning for bailing in the first round? She’d never been struck so hard in her life.

Afterward, a still-tearful Carini said she quit because of intense pain in her nose after the opening punches. Carini, who had a spot of blood on her trunks, said she wasn’t making a political statement and was not refusing to fight Khelif.

“I felt a severe pain in my nose, and with the maturity of a boxer, I said ‘enough,’ because I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to, I couldn’t finish the match,” Carini said.

Boxers are trained to get hit in the head a lot, but one good punch and Angela knew her life was in danger. She pulled the plug, and that was wise. But why was this such a surprise? Carini is an Olympic competitor. She’s been boxing women, presumably, for years.

Khelif, it turns out, failed a gender eligibility test in 2023 and was disqualified from the women’s boxing world championships , along with fellow boxer Lin Yu-ting. While their medical records are private, it is alleged that the athletes were born with “Differences in Sex Development (DSD)” which means that they are likely to have female genitalia, while also having (possibly internal) testicles and XY chromosomes. (If you’re reading this over breakfast, I can only apologise). In any case, this rare abnormality means that someone may appear female while enjoying the physiological advantages conferred by male puberty. You can read a detailed breakdown from evolutionary biologist and former Harvard lecturer Carole Hooven here and evolutionary biologist Colin Wright here.

The Olympics didn’t seem to have any concerns until Angela declined to play along. And yes, Algeria is a primarily Muslim country, and why, you might ask, would they send a woman with internal testicles and the testosterone advantages of an adult male to beat up women in front of a global audience? Because women are property with no rights an they beat them up as a matter of faith. It’s not a question I can answer. Stranger things have happened in pursuit of global recognition, but there’s a lesson in there that brings me back to Payton.

Her cackling assailant was born with a penis and likely still had use of it at the time of her paralysis. And she’s not the first or last victim to suffer at the hands of progressive compassion, but I doubt she was permitted to express concern or excuse herself from competing because to do so would have been socially destructive. So, she left on a stretcher instead.

Perhaps Democrats, obsessed as they are with the choice argument, ought to consider actually giving girls one instead of leaving them to wonder how their next event in trans world might end.
