Sandy Cortez set tongues wagging when she showed up at the exclusive $30,000.00 per ticket MET gala in a “Tax the Rich” dress. But that’s not all she did. The woman who designed it has been exposed as a deadbeat who doesn’t do her Patriotic Duty™ and pays her taxes.

Sandy Cortez (AOC) Shows Off Her ‘Tax the Rich Dress’ at $30,000.00/Ticket Met Gala
Sandy Cortez, the Neiman Marxist, known more commonly by her political ‘pen-name’ Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has found, yet again, a way to get some attention. She wore a custom-made “Tax the Rich” dress to the MetGala. Why not Kill the Rich?
I Thought Democrats Wanted the Rich to Pay More Taxes?
Back on July 18th, I reported on a lawsuit brought by blue states over the change in the SALT deduction. Prior to tax reform people living in highly taxed states could deduct State and local taxes (SALT) from their federal return. Blue state spending goes unpunished. Liberal governors have no reason to be frugal as long as their local taxpayers can get their taxable income reduced at the expense of other states.
Republican Tax reform capped the SALT deduction at 10,000.00 dollars. And now Democrats are mad because Trump won’t let them live large on your dime. But there’s another aspect to this liberal fraud I left unexplored.
Face Plant – So Who Do We Tax After That?
As a followup to this post on Taxing the rich, I did want to point something else out. Even if you taxed the rich at 100% you still couldn’t pay for even one year of Obama/Democrat spending. Not even one full year. And that’s just for running the government, and not a penny toward the 16 trillion dollar deficit. And yet that is their answer for dealing with the spending problem.
Seeing as the top 5% already pay 90% of all Federal taxes this begs the question, and it’s one you should feel free to ask New Hampshire Democrats as well…If there are no rich, becasue you took all their money, and we can’t even pay one year of the budget with this one time tax of 100%, then who do you tax to pay for the rest of that year, every year after that, and the 16 trillion dollar deficit after that?
Ask them. (You could also ask them if this would mean the Democrats are shutting down government, ask them who built what, ask them how this much irresponsible spending is not a tax on the middle class–seeing as you can’t pay for any of it without taxing them…use your imagination, they have left you with so many lies there is no shortage of material to work with.)
Ask A New Hampshire Democrat About Taxing The Rich
The distance between left wing rhetoric and reality is wide, particularly on the issue of taxing the rich. This classic bit of class war rhetoric is used to deflect any deeper inspection of the problem, and the flaws in the Democrat’s solution. And the flaws are huge. Immense. Enormous. Disqualifying in fact. So ask a New Hampshire Democrat about taxing the rich.
Well Isn’t This Rich. (Or Not, Actually.)
Has it occurred to anyone that the Democrat’s “Tax the Rich™” agenda (coming soon in “Middle Class” sizes) isn’t so much a goal of taking more from those who have more (to give it to those who have less) it is to keep people who are not connected to the government power structure–from becoming rich … Read more
Do Students Like Re-Distribution or Not?
In what may well be the best independent video I have seen in a while, some savvy college students ask their peers (typical tax the rich types) if they would sign a petition. The plan? Redistribute GPA points from the high achievers so that other students can use them to pass classes they are doing poorly in.
