Enviro-whackos in California, with way too much green street cred, decided to blame right whale deaths on Maine’s lobster industry (it’s actually offshore wind). Everyone was upset except those Biden’s who served it at their first State Dinner.
The lobster situation in Maine makes for an entertaining sideshow. Increasingly-Democrat Maine relies heavily on its lobster cartel, but the Climate Cult put them in the stocks for “endangering” some bigoted Nazi whales.
The lobster industry is one of the most important to Maine and New England. The lobster is a necessary component of the region’s economy.
In the left-Wing tradition of hyper-hypocrisy, President* Biden is serving climate-killing beef and banned Maine lobster to the Macron’s this evening at his first State Dinner. You read that right. According to Reuters, we are nearly three years in, and Joe and Jill are only holding their first State Dinner.
In February, we reported on a Green Group that had placed a pin in Maine’s Lobster Industry. “The California-based Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program is considering which species to add to its “red list,” and North American lobster from both the US and Canadian fisheries is a candidate.”
The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch in California claims the mantle of sustainable seafood watchdog. If they red flag an operation, buyers like Disney and Whole Foods won’t touch them, and they’ve set their sights on Maine’s lobster industry.
Last year Switzerland, which recognizes the dignity of plants, prohibited boiling lobster alive. Suicide tourism is a go for the Swiss, as is abortion. But don’t cook a lobster unless it’s already dead. Quick question? What if the lobster elected to commit suicide in Switzerland by boiling?
