We learned that it took from 9am until 7pm, with an hour or so break for lunch, to get through 43 bills on the regular calendar, 2 off the consent calendar, plus 3 that were taken off the table, and 1 more that was reconsidered. It was a long day and I’ll try to review some highlights.

So Kids, What Did We Learn From This Week’s House Session (06/29/23)?
We learned that when Republicans show up they can get the job done. You can see how razor-slim the votes were on some of these bills when they were voted on party lines – slim as in 1 vote! Two things we learned for sure this year: attendance matters, and so does “sticking together.”
So Kids, What Did We Learn From Thursday’s House Session (09/15/22)?
We learned it was “Veto Day” and the last session of this legislative body until after election day and new legislators are sworn in. The opening ceremonies included a memorial to Rep. Mary Griffin, who passed away recently, and prayers for Rep. Gary Hopper who is fighting cancer. There were also many thanks to those who have served the House and will not be returning and those who did not make it through their primaries last Tuesday.
So Kids, What Did We Learn From Friday’s House Session (06-04-21)?
We learned that Rep. Susan DeLemus (R-Rochester) has an incredible voice. She graced us all with a beautifully executed rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.
So Kids, What Did We Learn From Friday’s NH House Session (04/09/21)?
We learned that it took us a full day from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm to get through 33 House bills. All were recommended by their committee as Ought To Pass (OTP) by their respective committees, except for the last 3 bills that were recommended as Inexpedient To Legislate (ITL) by their respective committees.
