As I said here, there is an effort to restart the Grandfamilies Commission in SB143 – an omnibus that contains the language to restart the process.

As many of you may remember, I was part of the Senate Grandfamilies Study Commission that was tasked on creating a report for the Legislature on steps that Government can do (or in getting out of the way!) of Grandparents who suddenly are now responsible for their grandchildren (as we were with then new born Grandson thirty years after raising our own).
