After I made my original report about how Bob Clegg was paid to lobby against a bill to increase penalties for those who pay to rape children, I was attacked by his supporters on Facebook. That didn’t surprise me.

A Survivor of Child Sex Trafficking Responds to Bob Clegg
Last week, I wrote about Bob Clegg’s work for “Decriminalize Sex Work”, an organization that paid him to lobby against HB 201, a bill that would have provided increased penalties to people who pay to rape children. He and his partner received $48,000 from this organization for lobbying on their behalf for 2019.
Bob Clegg Was Paid to Lobby Against a Bill to Increase Penalties for Those Who Pay to Rape Children
Bob Clegg is running in the Republican primary against Dave Wheeler for Executive Council District 5. In a report Clegg filed in January with the NH Secretary of State, it shows that in 2019, he and his partner earned $48,000 lobbying for the organization “Decriminalize Sex Work”.
Follow-up: How Happy is Ann Kuster about the VAWA Vote Now?

Yesterday I pointed out that according to Heritage the 2013 re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) included provisions that violated the constitution by giving Federal authority to tribal courts.
Today, we discover that the 78 Senators and 286 House members who voted (some happily) for S.47, the (Violence Against Women Re-authorization Act of 2013), also voted to prohibit the charging or prosecution of minors caught engaging in prostitution. Put another way…when they voted for the VAWA they effectively decriminalized child prostitution.
oops.
