Today, on the Morning Update, the internet is full of scams, bots, phishing, and influence operations. Fake ops, PsyOps, the Hantavirus fearmongering, Tick terrorism, and a rising tide of anti-AI US data centers, which are almost entirely foreign.

Welcome to your Wednesday, May 27th, 2026. Morning update. Like I say often, I get a lot of things in email, and I appreciate all the stuff I get. I’ve seen a lot of fear-mongering over AI data centers, so I kind of wanted to look into that, and I was not at all surprised by what I found from the Bitcoin Policy Institute.
AI data centers have become a lightning rod in policy conversations across all levels of government. American citizens have legitimate concerns about water use, energy costs, and grid capacity, concerns that deserve serious local deliberation. But local deliberation works only when the public can see who is bankrolling and influencing the campaigns shaping the debate.
If you guessed that there were foreign influence operations loading tons of money to stifle or stop US development in artificial intelligence technology, you would be correct. The Daily Wire.
Having closely followed the debate in America over data centers and the AI technology to help power, it is increasingly obvious that foreign powers are showing a distinct interest in sowing strife and division among the American public for a single purpose: slowing American AI development. It’s not just posts on social media either. At a recent event, Interior Secretary Doug Bergum warned that foreign-sourced dark money has been funding anti-data center advocacy inside America. A recent report at American Intelligence placed these operations in the broader context of long-running efforts by foreign actors.
To discourage American energy and technological development using green and environmental concerns to slow America’s growth. And an expose by the Bitcoin Policy Institute connected the dots between specific Chinese communist funded entities and dark money organizations in the United States that are pushing anti-AI and anti-data center messaging.
So, who are the known players using AI disinformation to slow or stop our development? This all sounds very familiar, doesn’t it? The entire green agenda had two priorities. One was to allow China to get ahead of us, and the other was to turn us into slaves, because after all, everything is made out of carbon, including us. Back to the Bitcoin Policy Institute. Who are these people?
Foreign state media. Beijing’s English-language outlets, CGTN, China Daily, and Global Times, together with Russia’s RT, have run attributed campaigns directly targeting U.S. AI data centers and U.S. export controls, while the Chinese state simultaneously subsidizes its own AI build-out. The CCP-aligned Singham Network, a US 501c3 ecosystem funded by Shanghai-based U.S. expatriate Neville Roy Singham, we’ve written about him and talked about him.
Who is currently under a congressional inquiry for his reported ties to the CCP has openly collaborated with China’s official state media organs and spent nearly five years producing parallel domestic content opposing US AI infrastructure, AI labs, and AI export controls. Foreign billionaire funding, multiple foreign-tied charitable vehicles, including those in Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, sorry if I screwed your name up, actually. No, I’m not.
And British billionaire Alan Parker’s Oak Foundation have funneled more than two billion into U.S. 501c3 and 501c4 advocacy infrastructure. A significant portion of that money now flows directly into organizations driving the anti-data center campaign.
And let’s not forget CCP-funded stooges like Sandy Cortez and her crazy ideological Obi-Wan Bernie Sanders.

They are pro-China. Their green energy agenda in America was pro-China. In fact, they’re just pro-China. AI is here. More AI is coming. It’s gonna change the world, and you can’t stop it.
The question is whether the US can continue to stay ahead and really basically benefit from the next generation of everything. Maybe even set controls that have global influence.
And ⁓ we have to really watch out for the foreign fear mongering. I think that after COVID, some people really began to believe that they couldn’t trust anything the medical industrial complex told them. A lot of those people also began to learn that you can’t trust anything the government tells you. Not really.
Don’t just accept anything at face value.
That’s it for today. We’ll talk to you tomorrow.
