Len Turcotte Bad Zoning Bills’ Two-fer.

Bad zoning bills persist in the State Legislature after crossover, and we must stop them. I also didn’t have time to do a new show this week (divine intervention?), so it’s an excellent time to revisit this.

Len Turcotte was on Granite State Live this week. I had a similar conversation with Len in March on GrokTALK!. The GSL segment keeps it fresh; this issue matters. It is about maintaining property rights and local control. We need to derail these bills or, as Terese says, this will Mass Up New Hampshire.

We have long opposed this.

We’ve been trying to stop it for almost twenty years, but never have Republicans worked so hard to make it happen. Not all of them, of course, but too many, which is why I talked to Len about it in March, and he was on GSL this week.

Please review it and then reach out to your legislators to share your thoughts.

Note: The GSL segment has been edited down from the original, with ads and unrelated chatter removed. You can watch the whole segment in hour two of this week’s Granite State Live, here.

Bonus – Watch for the 2-second cameo of my dog Cosmo when he was a 7-week-old puppy. Totally random and unintended, but there he is.

GrokTALK! has been the eponymous podcasting vehicle of Granitegrok.com since its inception in 2011/2012 (before podcasting was PODCASTING).

Several iterations of the program have begun and ended, including a three-year continuous run of nearly 200 weekly two-hour episodes. Several attempts at a remote version happened, but it wasn't until late 2024 that owner and editor Steve MacDonald rebooted it as a weekly podcast.

Note: if you find an old episode you want to hear or watch and the audio or video is not available, email steve@graniteGrok.com and he will dig it out of the archive and reattach it to its post page.
