NH has two heinous monsters in the US Senate (Senators Shaheen and Hassan) who support passive infanticide by withholding medical care to newborn babies who survive an abortion. It’s difficult for me to use such harsh language, but I cannot in good conscience sugar coat the horrific meaning of their votes on S.311. Human life is sacred, and leaving a helpless newborn baby to die without care should be criminalized, but Senators Shaheen and Hassan voted to block that legislation.
According to Jeanne Mancici, president of March for Life, all Democratic presidential candidates are monsters as well,
“It is deeply disappointing that some elected officials in the Senate have promised to block even legislation that mandates medical care for children who survive an abortion – an extremist view shared by all Democratic presidential candidates.”
It’s unconscionable to think that anyone would ever vote against a Bill to protect a defenseless baby. But the Senate fell 4 votes short of the 60 votes required to pass Senate Bill S.311, the Federal “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act”. Votes from our 2 Senators would have cut that deficit in half.
S.311 would have required babies who survive an abortion to be provided with medical care. You can see how every Senator voted here.
Sidenote: Every NH Senate Democrat voted to reject a similar bill, SB 741, which would have mandated medical care for a baby who survived an abortion.

Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, who introduced the Born-Alive bill clarified;
“active infanticide is illegal under federal law,” the Born-Alive bill is concerned with “passive infanticide.”
“Every baby dies if you wander away from them & deny them care,”
“Passive infanticide is not illegal under federal law. That’s what this legislation is about.”
Tony Perkins, Family Research Council president added:
“Refusing to support a measure that would provide life-saving care to an infant who survives an abortion and is born-alive, is condoning infanticide.”
“Continuing to allow this practice of either actively or passively allowing born-alive babies to die, as Virginia Governor Northam has advocated, is crossing the line from civilized to barbarous. The efforts in Congress to protect these babies should not stop, and voters have a moral duty to vote against those who condone infanticide.”
John Adams warned, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Only a monster would allow a living, breathing helpless baby to die by withholding care.
It’s time for NH to elect US Senators and NH State Senators who have moral values and respect for all human life — and to also reject every presidential candidate that does not support protecting all newborn babies.
