SMITH: Darling “Manchester Native Son” Avoiding Victoria Sullivan

As a courtesy to new readers that are new to NH, let’s point out a few things about Manchester.  It’s our largest city and almost 1/10th of the population calls it home.  It’s also in that darling OTHER district in congress, the one that always gets all the attention, money and resources.  That district, which is half the state’s population, has been misrepresented by Christopher Charles Pappas (CCP), since the election of 2018.

Prior to that, he represented 1/5 of the state in the executive council, and he’s one of those people who call Manchester “home.”  Unlike his ilk, Goodlander, who pretended to live in Nashua, CCP lives in Manchester (when he’s not in DC) and always has.  In fact, I’ve heard people call him “Manchester’s native son” in many DC-related conversations.

So why is he ignoring his own city?  He went from being a public servant to 1/5 of the state to 1/2 of the state, and now he wants that promotion to public servant to ALL of the state, as Victoria Sullivan pointed out in a Saturday tweet.  The target readership for this article is people who don’t use social media and people who might have missed the tweet.  And for those who don’t care for clicking on links, I have captured an image of the tweet.

Victoria’s tweet is self-explanatory enough to not require any analysis though there are some details to add to it.  This sewer expense issue is in addition to the school budget issue that recently received some attention.  Manchester has 3 senators and Victoria represents 5/12 of the city, which includes the mayor.  She has been attempting to have an in-person conversation in the best interest of the WHOLE city, not just those she represents or those who voted for her.  Unfortunately, even though it’s CCP’s job to serve ALL of his constituents, he’s clearly only interested in being available to those who can lift him up as a candidate for higher office.  Doesn’t the Bible say things about doing good without announcing it with trumpets?  Victoria reads the Good Book and puts it to good practice, but one might question if her congressman can say he does also.

I didn’t ask how long Victoria has been trying to make contact, but an internet search could turn up how long Mayor Pete has been in town.  Or should I say “in state?”  There’s a lot of media and social media coverage of CCP and Mayor Pete together at events in other cities.  They’re scratching each other’s backs for each other’s political ambitions.  CCP has been ignoring the troubles and cries for help from his own very embattled city, and that’s akin to the former Secretary of Transportation being nowhere to be seen or heard from in the several days following a train derailment in Ohio with toxic devastation.  To all who “vote blue no matter who,” I say that flamboyant duo has no business being in public service in the future.  They have both proven themselves unworthy and unfit for public service.

Now let’s talk about Team Red, even though none of the federal candidates are incumbents.  Scott Brown has tweeted with a “you know my door will always be open on any issue” when Victoria’s tweet came to his attention.

Doing my due diligence for this article, I asked Victoria to let me know if other federal candidates reach out, even to acknowledge her tweet and I am sure that she will.  As for that State Royal Family member that the political elite is trying to install, to him, I ask “what say you, JE?”
