Dear Meg Hagaman,
Since you are running for the position of County Attorney for Merrimack and since a Supreme Court Associate Justice (Anna Barbara Hantz-Marconi), the Supreme Court Chief Justice (Gordon MacDonald) and his attorney (Jane Young) are under scrutiny, i have a question that needs answering before you continue further with your campaign.
It has to do with your own work with Gordon MacDonald and Jane Young when you were in the AG’s office.
You want people to trust you, so answering this question is a must:
In the right-to-know emails I received from the AG’s office, I discovered that you were supposed to get back to me in 2021 about former Concord PD Julie Curtin, six months after Jane Young had originally promised me a response from Geoffrey Ward. But you didn’t. I never heard anything from you.
Julie Curtin was working in your office, and you were all under AG Gordon MacDonald, who is now allegedly under investigation and on medical leave just in time for the Supreme Court announcement regarding Barbara Hantz-Marconi, whose criminal trial he would have been a key witness at. As has been established in her case: either she was lying, or he was lying. Since he argued not to testify under oath, the optics suggest that he lied in his deposition.
But let’s wind back to 2021 and your decision not to respond to me about a complaint serious enough for Police Standards and Training that it was forwarded to the AG’s office in 2020.
What we know for sure is that it was acknowleged by the AG MacDonald’s office that Concord PD Julie Curtin obtained student files from St Paul’s School without a warrant; that she worked with private attorneys suing the school in the middle of a Grand Jury Criminal Investigation which MacDonald’s law firm’s client, the NHCADSV, called for and got a contract from; that Jane Young informed Concord PD and Merrimack County Attorney Scott Murray of a conflict of interests in the investigation into St Paul’s School and violations of professional code of conduct rules which interfered with the integrity of the AG”s office. I discovered all of this through RSA91-A emails from the AG’s office. That integrity issue has followed Gordon MacDonald to the Supreme Court, along with his subordinate, Dianne Martin, and his attorney, Jane Young. It’s an issue for anyone coming out of his AG’s office, including you.
Jane Young asked for you or Geoff Ward to respond to me 6 months after John Scippa at Police Standards and Training first forwarded my complaint to the AG’s office.
Now you want the public to trust you as County Attorney.
Can you answer me as to why you and your colleagues stonewalled and ignored a serious, legitimate complaint with substantial material backup about your colleague, former Concord PD Julie Curtin?
Without that answer, I don’t think anyone should put their trust in you. If your superior asks you to get a 5-day letter out to me and you fail to do it, why would that be? What’s the point of Statutes if members of the AG’s office, including you, ignore them?
I’ve included the email below to refresh your memory.
Trust is what it is all about for voters, families, and anyone who has the misfortune of coming into contact with the NH justice system, which is currently riddled with conflicts of interest and cover-ups.
As a member of the St Paul’s School community by marriage, I am absolutely horrified by what I have discovered was going on in the AG’s office with Concord Police, the civil attorneys suing the school or representing respondents to the Grand Jury, the NHCADSV, and the extortion racket. We do not give money to St Paul’s School for a bribery and extortion enterprise, and I don’t think anyone should become Merrimack County Attorney who was either complicit in that or who helped cover it up by stonewalling legitimate concerns about a police detective involved in the investigation.
I look forward to hearing from you.
