SCAER: Federally-Funded NGO Propagandizes NH Schoolchildren with the Trans Agenda

I stumbled across a post on Facebook about trans propaganda that was shared with students as young as 11 at a Nashua, New Hampshire middle school.

The Nashua Prevention Coalition (NPC) representative set up a table during the lunches at Fairground Middle School and lured kids over by offering them colorful Pride flags. While they were at the table, she shared the following propaganda with them, including the notorious Genderbread Person. Parents were not notified and had no opportunity to opt their kids out of participating.

The NPC is supported by a federal grant from SAMHSA called “Drug Free Communities.”

The United Way of Greater Nashua partners with the NPC because it “promotes health in the community.”

Thankfully, Governor Chris Sununu signed a law in 2024 that requires parents to be notified before their child is exposed to lessons about sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or gender expression, and allows parents to opt their child out.

RSA 186:11, Section IX-c:

Require School Districts to Adopt a Policy Allowing an Exception to Specific Course Material Based on a Parent’s or Legal Guardian’s Determination that the Material is Objectionable. Such policy shall include a provision requiring the parent or legal guardian to notify the school principal or designee in writing of the specific material to which they object and a provision requiring an alternative agreed upon by the school district and the parent, at the parent’s expense, sufficient to enable the child to meet state requirements for education in the particular subject area. The policy shall also require the school district or classroom teacher to provide parents and legal guardians not less than 2 weeks advance notice of any curriculum course material used for instruction or program of human sexuality, human sexual education, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or gender expression. The policy shall address the method of delivering notification to a parent or legal guardian.

I notified the Nashua Board of Education, and they included this notification and opt-out requirement in their recently passed Policy AB. It was too late to protect the kids exposed to the trans propaganda at Fairgrounds Middle School, but it should not happen again without parents being notified.

Hopefully, the Trump administration ends the federal grants for the NPC, and the United Way of Greater Nashua ends its association with it.
