The alien invasion, to sanctuary city, to driver’s license, to voting booth, to Democrat elected officials conveyor belt is well documented. I won’t reinvent that square wheel here. It’s all about displacement and the one-party state, and most of you know that. Dems want it, and they tell us that with every vote they take (feel free to rewrite the lyrics to the appropriate song by The Police).
Be it federal or state, you’ll be hard pressed to find a modern-day Dem who isn’t in thrall to displacement theory disguised as whatever woe-is-them pity party sing-a-long they can muster. It is not about legally present aliens. Remember them? The people most likely to get swept up, like J6rs, put in indefinite detention just for being in the right place at the wrong time.
Much projection there is.
New Hampshire is not a sanctuary state, but we share a border with Canada, so those Swanton sector incursions you hear about include us. Alien invaders are here. Democrats want them to stay, give them welfare, get their votes – but we won’t give them driver’s licenses, and they are not permitted to vote. But if they had a driver’s license, they might try, and that would deny actual residents their right to choose their representatives. It’s an actual democracy thing, unlike the fake ones the Democrat party likes to screech about like jacked-up barn owls.
Part of the facilitation of the afore-mentioned conveyor is pandering to language barriers. Printing materials in multiple languages allows non-English speakers (or people who don’t speak English well) to understand, study for, and pass licensing tests. However, as one legislator noted during the debate on HB461 (limiting printing of these materials to English only), all of our traffic and road signs are in English. English is the official state language. If you can’t read it,, you shouldn’t be driving, at least not here, and “Having our materials translated and printed in other languages is also a huge cost to the state.”
The Bill passed the NH House 187-159. Our own Rep. Judy Aron wrote that,
House Democrats argued that people should take these tests and have materials in the language that they are comfortable with. They felt passage of this bill would drive residents out of our workforce, out of our businesses, and out of our community. House Democrats support sanctuary cities and harboring illegal aliens in the US. If those people get drivers licenses, then they can also vote in our elections. Ahhh… now you get the picture?
Whether you believe in the alien invasion, to sanctuary city, to driver’s license, to voting booth, to Democrat elected officials, conveyor belt people in America are welcome to speak and read as many languages as they please, one of them needs to be English. I would expect nothing less regarding accommodation in any other nation where I choose to live legally. And that’s my responsibility. The local should not have to pay more for my benefit, which should work both ways.
The bill moves to the Republican-majority state Senate, but you should never trust the trust Senate, no matter who is in charge. They have different priorities. Every bill is a potential Julius Caesar.
We’ll try to keep an eye on this one.
