Why is a Londonderry Republican Pushing A DEI/Trans-LGBTQ Groomer For Library Trustee?

Londonderry has the Leach Library, which is overseen by a group of seven Library Trustees on the Library board. Recently, the Trustee Chair stepped down entirely from the board, leaving a vacancy to be filled by appointment until the Town Election in March.

What baffles those of us who are conservative in Londonderry is why Liz Thomas, Library Trustee (past Chair of the Londonderry Republican Committee, Current State Committee Member, darling of the Rockingham County Republican Committee, and wife of State Rep Doug Thomas (R)) recommend a leftist Marxist DEI proponent. Someone who pushes TRANS activism and LGBQT+++ ideology on young children, to be appointed as the replacement Trustee to the Library?

It is not because there were no other options. Another conservative Trustee recommended two names who would be much better suited to fill the position temporarily.  Why did Liz have to pipe up and add the DEI advocate as a suggestion?

This person is known in Londonderry as someone who pushes DEI/LGBQT+++ and Trans activism actively on the Londonderry Town Facebook pages.  Not only that, she has for the past few years set up a Tent at the Londonderry Old Home Days celebration for children that pushes LGBTQ+++, Trans, and DEI.

The first year that the Tent was at the celebration, it was called “YOUTH PRIDE.”    After public blowback, this woman, Beth Marrocco, changed the name to the DEI tent.

“The key issue with this tent is that it targets small children with all kinds of LGBTQ+ oriented toys, candy, stickers, balloons, and literature to draw them into the booth, which is aimed at “grooming” and confusing children regarding their identity and sexuality. We have observed children as young as 4 or younger be drawn into this display and activities. As a Library Trustee, Beth Marrocco could do the same for the library year-round.

The tent organizers are attempting to hide their agenda behind the blanket of the progressive idea of DEI, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

When looking at the reality of DEI as used by progressives, it is more like Division, Exclusion, and Indoctrination.

The term diversity is misused to deceive children into following a system that fosters division based on demographics and beliefs.  The term inclusion is warped to justify the exclusion of anyone with other ideas, or that dares to disagree.   This doublespeak has taken the impartiality out of equity instead, using “fairness” as a weapon to obtain unrealistic equal outcomes (impossible), rather than the more realistic ideal of equal opportunities.

Maybe there is a place for social science experiments like this, but it is not in our Town Commons, Library, or schools.

Again, why is Liz Thomas promoting this? We should not elect Liz Thomas or Beth Marrocco as Library Trustees in March.
