Liberty Activists Hold Rally Calling On President Trump To Pardon Ian Freeman

by Press Release

CONCORD – As the nation prepares for a major transition in presidential administrations, liberty activists, Free State Project President Carla Gericke, and Bonnie Freeman are calling on President Trump to fulfill his promises to the American people: making America free and safe again.

Trump’s first act should be to correct the injustices of past administrations—starting with a full pardon for financial freedom and privacy advocate Ian Freeman.

The federal government targeted Ian for his role in promoting financial privacy through cryptocurrency. His case represents a dangerous precedent that, if left unchallenged, could jeopardize anyone who advocates for privacy and decentralized financial systems.

Free markets and criminal reform were the backbone of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. With Trump on the verge of assuming presidential powers, many groups are urging him to act swiftly on his promises by addressing cases like Freeman’s.

Ian Freeman was unjustly prosecuted and should have remained a free man, given previous federal rulings on Section 230. Yet, the federal government refused to follow its own rules. All Ian is guilty of is giving people the means to transfer Bitcoin more accessibly, and that is not a crime. It’s time for President Trump to step up, correct this miscarriage of justice, and pardon Ian Freeman.
