Who Is Protecting Our Girls?

A sordid story of broken boundaries has emerged out of a high school girl’s soccer game. A trans-identifying soccer player was allowed to play against the Hillsboro Deering girl’s team on October 1st, violating New Hampshire state law (HB1205). The parents of the opposing Hillsboro Deering team were not initially notified by the school that a biological male player was playing against their girls, and that it was in violation of state law.

Two days before the Hillsboro Deering game, a Hillsboro Deering parent emailed the parents to alert them that a biological boy was playing. The girls had very little time to decide whether to play or not. They didn’t understand the law. The players were instructed to choose whether to play before getting on the bus. Five girls stayed back, citing safety and fairness concerns.

Unfortunately, those girls and their parents didn’t have ALL the information. They didn’t know that the player’s father is a convicted sex offender. A sex offender awaiting the start of his sentence in December. He pled down his crimes and received 60 months plus five years supervision and financial restitution. His proclivities? Victims ages 10-16. In at least one case, he took pictures of a local minor female and superimposed her face onto the sexually explicit images of others. He then “provided at least one offender with the minor’s Instagram account and encouraged the offender to message her.” He also possessed hundreds of child abuse images obtained from others through social media sources.

The court records contain statements from his adult son that state Marc Jacques appears at every sporting event and performance of Maelle. They also state that Maelle’s mother does not support Maelle’s playing on the girl’s soccer team. Marc Jacques’ RELEASE conditions restrict him from being around children that are not his own, but his SENTENCE doesn’t start for several months.

Parents want to know…

Has he been attending games? Did he attend the Hillsboro Deering game? Does he have temporary restrictions that aren’t publicly accessible? Can he take pictures? What safeguards are in place?

The parents of the Hillsboro Deering players are just now finding out that their children may have been in the midst of a sex offender with the potential to offend during their daughter’s games. Trust in the administrators of these two school districts has been compromised. The parents are asking questions. Some of the girls played in the game against the trans Identifying player. There were no parent or player protests at that October 1st game.

The parents of Hillsboro Deering don’t know. They haven’t been informed. A parent’s research resulted in finding out more than just a school violating state law. They want answers.
