No Way Betty Gay Is Back

Voters in Salem have another opportunity this Tuesday to keep Betty Gay out of the New Hampshire House. Some locals consider this so important that they’ve rebooted their No Way Betty Gay website. It appeared in 2022 and successfully kept Betty out of the NH House. It has resurfaced in 2024 with the same goal.

Salem has a 10-for-9 primary, and Betty is on the ballot.

Betty’s last House Republican Alliance rating was 69.5. Her four-year average (two terms, 2016-2020) is a paltry 70%. Betty is a RINO likely to vote the wrong way on key votes like protecting Second Amendment rights or women’s sports. The folks at No Way Betty Gay say Salem doesn’t need her.

I don’t have time to fisk the nine incumbents running, but Betty’s record defending the NH Constitution and the Republican platform (which is what the NHHRA rating measures) isn’t great. Salem can probably do better.

We’ll let the voters decide.
