Eric Adams’ Indictments and NH Mayors, City Councils, and On and On

by

New York Mayor Eric Adams was indicted on bribery and foreign influence charges today.  While innocent until proven guilty, bear in mind what has been happening in New Hampshire with bribery and elections:

Mayor Jim Bouley of Concord was paid to lobby for Marsy’s Law, for which Concord City Council Member Amanda Grady Sexton was paid to be the Executive Director. Chuck Douglas, chair of the Judicial Selection Committee, was paid to be the attorney. WMUR (I believe) ran ads for Marsy’s Law. Amanda Grady Sexton’s husband, Adam Sexton, is the Political Director for WMUR.

Not one of these declared their earnings as required by RSA 15. Their earnings are listed in the Marsy’s Law Returns. The Secretary of State has done nothing about this against any of them or the others who were paid to lobby for it.

Mayor Jim Bouley and other Mayors lobbied against HB111, which would have provided the public recourse against public officials for corruption.

Why is nothing done to hold public officials, mayors, and members of City Councils for failures to report lobby earnings and the quid pro quos that go with the endorsements as required under RSA 15A? Why does the Secretary of State simply not care? Is he paid off, too? One can only assume that he is.

NH AG Gordon MacDonald did public campaigns to support Marsy’s Law. So did Governor Chris Sununu. Sununu then nominated MacDonald for the New Hampshire Supreme Court despite his lack of qualifications for the job as outlined by the State. Amanda Grady Sexton of Marsy’s Law endorsed MacDonald’s nomination. MacDonald covered up corrupt police officers. The NHCADSV train the police in “best practices”.

Now, wonder why Jim Bouley and other Mayors do not want HB 111 and why their City Council Members don’t either. They are happier taking money from a California billionaire securities fraudster who kept an underground lair for prostitutes and drugs than they are serving the people who elected them to office.  Henry T Nicholas III funded Marsy’s Law. He bought his way out of a 350-year prison sentence for drug trafficking in Las Vegas and took an Alford Plea. Earlier, he had been sued for domestic violence and battery. He had been indicted as well for securities fraud. He only started his “foundation” and “Marsy’s Law” once he’d managed to get out of the charges.  Henry T Nicholas III spent millions on keeping the Death Penalty in California. Kamala Harris, as AG, argued to keep it as well.  Marsy’s Law has been declared unconstitutional by National Criminal Defense Attorneys. Why would a New Hampshire Mayor, Governor, Chair of the Judicial Selection Committee, and AG support it? Because it increases qualified immunity for public officials.

Will any elected official do anything about the corruption of City of Concord Council and the Police, Courts, non-profits and law firms tied to it?  It’s not enough to stay silent because silence is complicity.
