It’s 2024, and One New Hampshire University Still Requires COVID Shots

Would it surprise you to know that twenty American universities still require proof of COVID vaccination to attend? Seven are in Califonia, five are in Georgia, and a few are each in Ohio, PA, and Louisiana, one in Michigan, and one in New Hampshire.

Yes, Franklin Pierce University still requires students to provide proof of vaccination.

There are a number of vaccinations that have always been required for a student to enroll at Franklin Pierce University. This series now includes the first series of the COVID vaccine. Documentation regarding all vaccinations is submitted through the required Health Services paperwork for all incoming students. All incoming students can find the process to submit your medical documentation through the New Student Portal

The university does provide a vaccine exemption form.

If you were wondering about the other nonsense they have (meaningless COVID) testing, people with symptoms should isolate, and yes, there will be masking.

Will students be required to wear masks on campus when returning for the 2023 – 2024 Academic Year?

Masks may be required in the certain settings with higher than normal traffic including the Library, Field House, Health Services, and the Bubble.  Additionally, faculty may require students in their classrooms to wear masks.  Students are expected to comply with this requirement or be subject to a Student Conduct review.

If deemed a contact of someone who has tested positive, you will be required to wear a mask indoors for 10 days and be tested if you become symptomatic.

Individuals who test positive must isolate until they go 24 hours without symptomes or fever, and then wear a mask for five more days while indoors and around others, unless you test negative on two antigen tests within a 48 hours period.

Franklin Pierce University reserves the right to decline entry to campus to any individual who does not comply with current vaccination and masking policies.

This would be where we remind everyone about the risk-to-a-complete-lack-of-benefit ratio with these interventions, but you know all that. There is no upside for college-age adults and plenty of downsides, but FPU seems uninterested in the many modern scientific revelations since the dark days of the pandemic. The school continues to advocate voodoo medicine that is harmful to its population. Parents and students should consider other options.
