Governor Mills is not done with politics, as she wants to be a senator now that she is being termed out of Augusta. In trying to convince Maine voters that she is their beacon in the state house now and wants to be their watchdog in Washington, she has turned a blind eye to three major issues in her state. These are not just issues that run counter to certain people’s opinions, but situations that infringe on Mainers’ security. The Chinese Cannabis trade, Somali fraud schemes, and recent Title IX violations at Maine schools have been reported by multiple sources and are raising concerns among residents. If Mills thinks that one of her jobs is to promote Maine and the Maine life, then she is failing miserably.
Whether this is a permanent stance by the Governor, or just until she clears the hurdle of the Democratic primary, she is basically treating these three situations as if they do not exist. It is wrong and should disqualify her from consideration as a replacement for Susan Collins, if not make her the primary focus of a Justice Department investigation. The number of illegal cannabis grow houses has swelled to nearly 300, and the Somali fraud is going unchecked, with millions being sucked out of Maine. Young female athletes are still being put in danger on the field and embarrassed in the locker room. The only people drawing attention to these issues are the Maine Wire and the national media. A blackout has been declared by the Mills administration. Still, I fear there is enough evidence to indicate that Governor Mills and her brother are benefiting financially and that this is part of their motivation to keep things status quo.
The Chinese grow sites are not just about pot. Mills is resolving that illegal behavior by issuing licenses to these operations, which is tantamount to granting these illegal aliens accountability for the sex and human trafficking, or the dangerous chemicals, insecticides, and hormones they are injecting into the plants that eventually will be smoked by Americans. This is not a problem with the woman who tells Mainers that she has got their backs,
She is ignoring the Somali fraud and diverting funds from the money raised for victims of the Lewiston mass shooting. Fortunately, the Maine Wire is paying attention and sounding the alarm on the entire theft of the safety net programs that most Somalis collect from. Young female athletes are still being injured on the playing fields by trans athletes who were born as males. All of these issues are supported by huge margins across every demographic. Democrats, specifically Janet Mills, know these are 80/20, but they continue to support the 20%. There is no logic or rationale for how Democrats are picking sides, and they can still attract their fair share of the vote. The whole mess shows the power of the collaboration between the Democrats and legacy media.
