Why Would The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Search Me on LinkedIn?

Last year, I started sharing Grok content on LinkedIn. It’s hit or miss as far as it goes. Sometimes, we receive a decent number of views and clicks, and at other times, we don’t. It’s become a habit, so I continue to do it.

One thing is obvious. There is nothing I am sharing that would inspire Marxachusetts to consider my profile for employment purposes. Quite the opposite, even if any of the listed skills were appealing. So why would they pop up as an account that searched me and checked out my LinkedIn particulars?

I can’t answer that question (seriously) except to suggest that they might be thinking about England. I can’t go there. Current leadership in the British Isles has made it very clear that the exercise of free speech is not something they can tolerate, and I’m not shy about expressing how many things that progressives claim to believe are stupid or sinister.

Expressions such as these could be considered hate speech, and anyone setting foot in their sovereign territory who has dared to disagree with multiculturalism or drugging and neutering children (it’s a long list) could be arrested, detained, have their passport seized, and be subject to criminal charges and prison time.

We may have said a bad thing or two about Islamist extremists, how they treat women, gays, and non-Muslims-believers. Intolerant racist bigot! Not them, me! And off to the Tower of London I go.

My first declaration were that to happen (getting arrested) would be to announce as shrilly as I could manage that I’m a woman, and if they deny me, this would lead to no end of my ranting about ill treatment and discrimination.

I can change my mind whenever I like; those are the rules, but could I get away with it in Maskachusetts if they were considering something similar? You’re on our turf now, free speech boy. Speculatively, as a mental exercise, just for fun.

Because they can’t want to hire me to write positive marketing copy supporting the Bay State, but what might that not look like?

I’ve got a hundred of them! Lots of Maskachusetts posts as well. and tales about Massholes. And those are just mine, and as the guy deciding what gets published, we can add scores more.

Taxachusetts can’t possibly be suffering from a “we’ve hit bottom” reflective moment, but why else would they be looking at me?

I’m not worried, even if their intentions are sinister (it was probably a mistake, to be honest); however, I don’t expect New Hampshire’s AG to take any action to protect me from them if trouble is afoot!. I’ve written more about that office than I have about the state of Taxachusetts.

The life of a blogger, I suppose, but I got a post out of it!

Disclosure: I was born in Massachusetts but did not grow up there.
