MACDONALD: San Fran Coffee Chain Gets Rid of Pride Flags, Guess Why?

San Francisco was a gay mecca before gay marriage was even a thing, and way before LGBT culture invaded every television program, ad, play, sidewalk, and public school. It’s literally everywhere and impossible to avoid unless you live in a Muslim American Enclave or an Arab majority nation.

TO be clear, most Americans couldn’t care less; they don’t want it shoved down their throat every time they turn around, and that is part of what has caused a popular San Francisco Coffee Shop to remove all the gay flags from their stores. You ready for it?

It’s not inclusive. Customers reported feeling uncomfortable or unwelcome, and that, here’s the punch in the gut, hurtz business.

The change is part of Philz’s effort to create “a more consistent, inclusive experience across all our stores, including removing a variety of flags and other decor,” CEO Mahesh Sadarangani told the San Francisco Chronicle.

All things in moderation, including moderation, but it’s got the gay communities’ knickers in a twist, and this is San Francisco. Aside from car thefts, disposable needles, and human feces, the City by the Gay is still a homosexual mecca. How dare you try to appeal to those cisgender, heterosexually-coffee-slurpers. They don’t even know how to order it.

But they have money. They’d have to live there; otherwise, they’d be homeless, something else San Fran is known for. And Philz Coffee is still a huge supporter of “the community,” and they are all in on Pride Month, so take your Cymbalta and fan yourself with your hand. It’s all going to be okay. You can still be gay and proud without everyone else having to know.

And if you still think Philz is being a little bitch, there’s got to be a million other places to get coffee in San Francisco. Or you could keep paying 22.50 for a pound for Philz. Be you.
